Unintentionally Jon has kind of recreated the main quest line of oblivion where the dragon born was a soft and squishy character and you were just a bad ass guy following him around and fighting for him, Benor is basically The Hero of Kvatch 200 years later in Skyrim
To be honest with you, when this run started, I was a little skeptical it was going to be "Jon plays sniper exactly the same as always just with magic instead of bows." But I'm really enjoying how it's turned out. I never bother with companions, and I never would have thought to play the whole game as a support character. The idea of history remembering Benor the Dragonborn and his white mage companion who nobody remembers his name at all is really hilarious.

Jon, you need to use daggers when you go for a sneak attack. They can deal up to 30x their base damage when using the right equipment and perks, and they are the only weapon that is completely silent, that means that if you kill a falmer with a dagger then the others won't hear you but if you try it with your mace then they easily will hear you and blow your cover
Take the perk, then you have x15 damage, duel wielding boosts it to x30, DB armour doubles damage, then use a power attack and you just tear through enemies. Especially if you get the unique weapon from the DB that counts as a dagger.
He hasn't got the perk yet, or possibly even the sneak skill high enough to get the perk yet. He also doesn't have the equipment that doubles it yet, since that's DB-locked, so daggers wouldn't really be doing any better than his mace. Though out of interest, do daggers benefit from the one-handed 6x until you get the 15x?
He does have the sneak skill, and if he doesn't have the perk he can take it next level since I think he has the x6 one. The DB gear helps, but it's already pretty OP without it. Also I think daggers do benefit from the x6 perk until you upgrade it, but when you take it they stop benefitting from that perk.
