When someone becomes saved they may not feel any diffrent at all. But thats ok because its about faith not feeling. Look at how much suffering christains went threw in scripture. Being a christain is a warriors walk. So you shouldnt tell people theyll feel better when they get saved. Tell them the truth. Its about having faith no matter how bad or good things are.

I love your boldness! And I believe the Holy Spirit can work miracles and does do it. But I feel worried about the way that this may have come off to him, that becoming a Christian will solve his problems. Coming to Christ is an amazing thing, and sometimes God does work miracles and I’m sure breaking addiction does happen, but we can not force His hand. This man probably needs medical attention and or rehab in addition to a home church where he can continue to learn and have mentors that will help him. I am not saying what you did is wrong, I think it’s great that you are spreading the gospel, I am just worried about giving him a false believe that being a Christian= having your problems fixed.
