Water flow in a pipeline gets reduced as the years pass by. There can be many reasons
behind that. One of the reasons behind low pressure can be "Air vent".
Airlocks are a common issue in a pipeline. Airlocks occur in a pipeline because of
inappropriate installation of the pipeline during construction. These airlocks
affect the water discharge as shown in the video.
In the video:
Plasto conducted an experiment to show the water pressure difference in the presence & absence
of Air vent.
Observation:
Absence of Air-Vent: The air in the pipeline gets no other way to escape and ultimately
passes from the tap.
Water discharge received in 1min (Absence of Air-Vent) : 26L
Presence of Air-Vent: The air escapes from the air vent and there is no impact on the water pressure
Water discharge received in 1min (Presence of Air-Vent): 27.5L
Conclusion: It was observed that the water discharge in the presence of Air-Vent was 5% more than the discharge
in the absence of Air-Vent.
Adding an Air-Vent in a pipeline is very important as it doesn't allow any air locks to occur in a pipeline and
you won't face any pressure issues in long run.

The main reason you have not mentioned. Water hammer is a pressure shock wave that occurs when fluid in a pipe is abruptly forced to stop or change direction by a closing valve. Also called hydraulic shock, the signs of water hammer include a loud thumping or “hammering” noise from pipes carrying fluid and moderate- to heavy vibrations along the pipe system. Its impact can range from mild or undetectable vibrations to severe and very disruptive pressure shocks.
Without mitigation from the proper kind of valve or pipe closure, water hammer can cause equipment damage and pose safety concerns in industrial settings. It can also cause leaks in the home and damage to residential appliances and property, especially if it goes untreated for a significant amount of time.

I have recently installed solar weater system. I have installed vent pipe and it's height is 25 ft. . Now that a major cyclone is likely to hit a city in which I live currently. I am worried that due to very high wind speed vent pipe doesn't fall on any of it's tube... Please advise me what precautionary measure should I take for its protection of it's glass tube... why do you specifically use a T fitting for the air vent?
When using water from the overhead tank, air fills the empty space. When pumping more water, the air needs an exit. The air vent acts like a door, allowing air to escape through pipes, ensuring smooth water flow by separating lighter air from water. This is why the T-bar is likely to pass through the T-bar, making it essential.
