    They're both extremely loyal guard dogs but quite different. While the ridgeback is much more reasonable and negotiable, Bang Kaew has very stronger wild instinct. Bang Kaew see owner's family as pack and their owner as alpha, they often bite even your family members whom they considered lower rank in the pack while the ridgeback will befriend your other family members and take care of your toddlers like selfless older siblings.
    Now let's create a scenario and compare the two. Given that you and your dog are encountered by 3 wolves who considered you as their prey. The ridgeback will stand fight to death as long as you stand. If you fall first the dog will attempt to guard your body. But if the dog felt you died, the ridgeback will retreat / run, and if survived, will come back to check later when threat is gone. The Bang Kaew, in the other hand, will only opt to fight on fiercely and die with you.

      Absolutely true! They have strong wild instinct. Bangkaew is the most difficult breed to train. I can confirm from my experience and also Caesar Milan (famous dog trainer).

    I used to have both. A ridgeback named Mob and a Bangkaew named Mix. Mob is a natural hunter and would hunt down snakes and rats for fun, but Mix would always be strategically nearby to take credit for the catch. Both are super territorial, and no stranger dared come to my house unannounced, because both WILL hunt you down…like stealth mode hunt you down…and we raised them as indoor dogs. To members of their pack, and those we invite in, they are silly puppies.

      @weerasachdev  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glad that you used to raise both breeds. When did you last have them? Were they males or females and what were their life spans? 😊

    • @denseone
      @denseone 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@weerasachdev I had them about 20 years back. Both were male, but were socialized together rather young, we had another mix breed (Labrador poodle I think…couldn’t be sure because it was a stray). The Ridgeback lived for about 13 years (although it barely showed any signs of old age) and the Bangkaew for 14, but was a senior dog pretty much since year 12. They both passed peacefully in their sleep, with the ridgeback actually digging his own grave in our garden and then slipping away to die in his favorite part of the garden, and the Bangkaew in his bed.

      @@denseone Great answer. What were the colors of those two dogs and did they ever fight during feeding?

    • @denseone
      @denseone 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@weerasachdev The ridgeback was blue/silver, and the Bangkaew was white with dark brown patches. As for fighting during meals, mostly the problem was between the ridgeback and the Labrador-poodle mix, with the Bangkaew taking the opportunity to steal food from the other two…very opportunistic. To address the risk of serious fighting during meals, we eventually had to partition the garden into three corners until meals were over. They were all males, and we had no female dogs, and did not neuter any of them, so at times they can be pretty rough with each other, but never too serious, mostly bruised egos.

      @@Rao_anjaliyadav you need to train your dog properly never let the dog bite you. Note: the dog is not your child you must be the boss. Bangkaews are not normal dogs they look cute & lovely, they are very loyal & love owner(some say only one owner) but they are very fierce dog by nature . I have one too and she bit me too (2 times) lol. But I still love her she is very cute anyway I wish I trained her when she was young but I was not around at that time. You must be the boss never let your dog think that he/she is your boss, your dog have to be obedience. let your dog social with people take out for a walk everyday if possible. Once the dog knows you are the boss then you can treat it like a child. goodluck
