if you can’t get the OG then sure get the clone but i feel like a lot of reviewers aren’t honest with clones they always make it seem like its 99% close when that hasn’t been my experience with the many clones i have bought

Great review! I think Genuine is a great interpretation of Reserve Privee. The thing that bothered me about some of the other inspos was their lack of booziness. This one nails that, although it's not quite as rich. However the Genuine actually seemsbto last longer on my skin than the Reserve Privee, which surprised me. Then again, mine was sitting to mature for a month before I started using it. Definitely impressed by this one though!
OG Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee isn't even that expensive, and it's a staple in my collection. Just try to save up for the original, it's worth it!

Grandeur has had one out for a year called “Sincerity”. Almost identical to the Fragrance world but closer in size to OG. Contra “Gentleman” is readily available at the rack stores for $15. The Iris is turned up in that version but great Fall/Winter dumb reach.

Maybe it's affordable where you're from, but if you lived in a third-world country with mammoth import duties where the average income is nickels, you'd be grateful for all these Middle Eastern clone houses.

I really dislike the original and I don't know why. I absolutely love iris fragrances with a passion. Must be the whiskey in combination with the type of sweetness in the gentleman line. Society extreme is one of my favourites with the coffee in the background. Works better with the sugary sweetness.
Gentleman Reserve Privee is the fragrance that made me realize that bergamot openings inevitably smell like synthetic detergent (to my nose, anyway). It's a shame 'cause they're all so popular 😔
I don't want my comment deleted, but has anyone else had a problem with fragrance buy ca? I've had issues with them sending wrong items and not processing rebate codes? I hate it because they have awesome prices.
I have bought way too many fragrances from them and never had an issue except one that was damaged in transit and they took care of it. They can be slow to ship, but my orders have always been accurate.
So it costs slightly less than half of the OG, but you have to spray twice as much for the same performance? That's a pass for me. I don't get the point of creating a dupe of a fairly affordable fragrance.
Yeah, it's a fine line to walk. They're even getting tough on the influencers and their videos. I personally feel they're realizing the prices they charge for a close (or even better) interpretation of their releases are hurting them. And even if the clone houses change the bottle style and add a twist, most people will go for the more inexpensive scents.
This is actually so bad and reductive its not helping the fragrance community i feel like yall are buying anything lets have some sort of integrity or maybe thats asking too much
I refuse to give money to such a flagrant and brazen clone. It reeks of unoriginality. The OG is reasonably priced and smells great/performs well. I dont mind a clone that is close to, but at least still original. Givenchy should sue them.

Bought privee about 7 months ago 100ml bottle and have only used it once. Its a beautiful smell but i find its a smell for rare situations
