Are you team Arc'teryx or team North Face?

You have to be adaptable and wear the right coat or jacket depending where you are. I live in France and the North Face thermoball is perfect for the weather in Paris. When l go to Oslo l wear a Carhartt Montana level 4. Only a stupid would spend over 1.000.00 euros on a winter jacket. I have an excellent well paid job, but saving money is never too much

I had both. Kept the arcteryx AR and sold the thermoball 2.0 jacket. The arcteryx AR is warm but since I run pretty cold during the winter, I layer underneath it. It also blocks wind better than the thermoball 2.0.

Arc every time. The two best jackets I’ve ever owned are the Atom LT and Atom AR.

For me Arc’teryx fits better and performs significantly better. They also really last a long time. Personally never bought a tnf product I was satisfied with

Firstly, this comparison doesn’t make any sense. The jackets are literally $100 apart when it comes to pricing. The closest jacket from TNF you can use to compare is TNF Andola Synthetic Insulated Jacket which is well below the price point of the Arcteryx jacket. Very poor research and video comparison. Do better.

Appreciate the feedback, the Andola does look like a closer comparison. I'll keep this in mind for my next reviews

i mean...this still doesnt disprove how bad TNF jackets are lmao. their puffers are especially bad for insulation compared to the Cerium LT. TNF isnt what you should be buying if you want to stay warm regardless of price point

its not a bias, its the truth. if you have ever owned TNF and arcteryx products, you would know arcteryx has superior synthetic technology and mapping in their jackets. TNF doesnt use any technical designs.

for 200 dollars you could buy the Atom LT on sale and its 10 times better then this TNF jacket.

@ Easy to see by your other comments that you have a ravenous personal vendetta against TNF, which by the way have a sale too, lowering their cost even more and rendering your comment baseless.
Unless you’re a professional mountaineer or perform regular physical activity in extremely cold climates you may be coming across as a brand smug, as only that would justify the cost of several hundreds for a fraction of extra warmth. Don’t fall for the unfair comparisons on this channel, they are obviously bias.
One last thing: TNF has an upper-tier line of apparel dedicated to mountaineering (their cost reflect that) that has been at the forefront of technology for many decades, certainly for longer than Arc’teryx, reason why the brand is still widely trusted around the globe.

@@JMigUK I didn’t ask for a 3 paragraph chat GPT response buddy. His body temp literally dropped significantly in the TNF jacket lol. Did we not watch the same video? TNF has worse insulation technology. Their puffer uses high fill goose down yet makes me feel cold in 40-50 degree weather with a slight breeze. Cerium/atom jackets I have no problem with in colder weather. There’s a clear quality difference.
