Thank you for all the encouragement and kind words on my first video! I felt a lot more confident experimenting with this one knowing that there are people out there ok with my doodlin' style. :')

STORYLINE:

- Venti is singing in the Angel's Share Tavern. Aether and Paimon enter to listen. Venti sings about the following tale:
- Venti meets Zhongli (and canonically immediately 1. horrifies him with his irresponsibility AND 2. gets him drunk). He meets Guizhong and they become friends.
- Some time later, Guizhong is attacked one night when she is alone. She disappears. Zhongli finds the evidence of her attack the next day and gathers the Adepti to search for her, raining havoc down on all the monsters in the area.
- He finds Guizhong, but she's been corrupted (by the same mysterious forces that corrupted whatever Xiao has had to kill, presumably)
- He has a flashback to when he and Guizhong found a corrupted boar. She has him promise (via contract) that if either of them ever got corrupted, the other person would kill them out of mercy.
- Zhongli kills Guizhong, who thanks him for freeing her.
- In the present day, Venti finishes his song and Aether and Paimon are shook
- Aether, having also lost a loved one, seeks Zhongli out and they talk and feel better, bc I refuse to create sad endings !!!

@@ninvattanak5899 Actually, it's canon that Guili is a combination of Zhongli and Guizhong's names (Soraya, Treasure Lost Treasure Found world quest)! These two clowns really decided to name their kingdom with a combination of their two names because they were such good friends :(

Context for those who still don't know who is Guizhong:
She is an Ancient God that was killed during the Archon War. She was Morax's best friend and together they were called "The Brain and the Brawn" ( Morax being the brawn while Guizhong being the brain). She is the God of Dust who lead the Guili Plain Assembly, but she died in the northern area of it (Dihua Marsh).
Summary of information about her:
Morax first met Guizhong in Dihua Marsh among the Glaze Lilies. There, she presented to Morax her stone dumbbell which contained her wisdom and challenged him to unlock it. The stone dumbbell is now known as the weapon called Memory of Dust.
It was the mark of their pledge, despite having no contract. After that, she became a trusted ally of Morax.
She was one of the oldest gods who created the four commandments and she was the one who lead the people to Mt. Tianheng and taught them agriculture. After that, the land flourished and later they established the Guili Plains.
The Guizhong Ballista was designed by Guizhong together with the help of Cloud Retainer. It became an autonomous defense mechanism for Mt. Tianheng. To this day, the people of Liyue still respect the importance of this contraption.
During the Archon War, the Guili Plain was devastated and Dihua Marsh was reduced to what we see today. It is because a "Great battle between Gods" happened in Guili Plains, and in here she lost her life. She spent her last moments in Dihua Marsh amongst the Glaze Lilies, smiling one more time and telling Morax her last request: to forget about the Stone Dumbbell. However, her request or the sentence she said before she passed was cut short.
After the war, Morax gathered the survivors to build the city that we now know as Liyue Harbor. However, to this day, Morax has not yet unlocked the Stone Dumbbell and he still do not know what followed after Guizhong's last words.
It is presumed that most of what Morax knows about Liyue came from Guizhong herself, and it is hinted that Morax also displayed affection to Guizhong (in simple words, he loved her). Another "fun" fact is that the perfume we offered for Morax during the rite of parting was the same perfume Guizhong would use when she was still alive.
Edit: There is a possibility that the message locked behind her stone dumbbell is actually her Love Confession to Morax, hence why she doesn't want him to open it and requested to forget about it.
God, a couple days ago I did the interview with a bygone deity...sometimes I kinda wonder. Does Zhongli wish to see Guizhong again?

Zhongling has seen genocide and the world slowly destroying itself because of the wars and various things. I feel like Zhongling is in great pain and manages to hide it pretty well even if he doesn't remember all the events, deep inside him they still haunt him. And after so long he has been a god perhaps turning himself into a mortal was the best idea for him as even if he dies he will know he has protected his land and in the 'afterlife' he will be able to meet her again and live happily.
I’m beginning to think that Ningguang is kind of related to Guizhong.
Fun fact: Ningguang’s character ascension material includes Glaze lilies. Her constellation is the Guizhong ballista.
@@ZhiZhemini Perhaps the reason behind that is because after the conclusion of the Archon War thousands of years ago, Morax gathered survivors from each area in Liyue. However, the first survivors he gathered are presumbed to be his people and the people of the God of Dust.
Those who have worshipped other Gods may have sought refuge with Morax after their deity was killed. This is the same case for Guizhong and Havria.
Ningguang is possible to be a descendant of the people of the God of Dust, but there's really no evidence to prove that other than her ascension material and constellation. However, I do believe she's a descendant since she's smart, wise and responsible... Things you can expect from the people of the God of Dust since she was a very wise and knowledgeable god.

AAaaaa thank you! And yeah definitely, there's already so much content about her but it's all detached from Zhongli himself, I'd like to see him actually react to her name.

@@yuelilie Of the Seven, Venti and Zhongli are the only originals, the others have died or something similar and another archon has appeared to take their place. I believe that's how it goes.

Actually it’s only it’s only venti now. Zhongli is just Zhongli. I mean yes two if we think about the archons we met but since Zhongli retired, I don’t think he’s an archon anymore which leaves venti

It is more or less, basically guizhong and morax formed an alliance during the archon war, and through out the Story it is hinted that they were very very close.
Like the dining table on mount aozhang or the weapon description from the memory of dust or the guili plains(guizhon x zhongli) side story.
Morax back then was a pure brute and guizhong was incredibly smart and the one coming up with all the plans so basically morax were the brawns and guizhong the brains and together they were one of the if not the strongest force in the war. That’s why the other gods decided to weaken them by luring morax out and assassinating guizhong, who was a rather weak god in terms of combat.

When you have Zhongli, nothing can hurt you physically because of his broken shield skill, but that doesn't stop my friends from hurting me emotionally by making fun of the fact I upgrade health artifacts.

@@matilde_5 Guizhong was the Godess that accompanied Zhongli/Rex Lapis before and during the Archon war (She was the Lady in in the vid.) Guizhong lead the people of Guili plains while Zhongli lead the people of Mt. Tiantian, and they both lived in harmony and worked together, and some intamcy may have formed. It was said to be that Guizhong was the brains while Zhongli was the brawn, being the strongest of amongst the Archons along with the 7 other Archons that formed the current 7, including Venti who used wind to cleave through mountains to help form literal oceans.
When the archon war came, Guizhong was unfortunately struck down (I guess it was Osial who delivered the finishing blow) which made Zhongli go batshit insane and avenged her death. When the people of Guili Plains was left Godless Zhongli took them under his wing, and along with the people of Tiantian, formed Liyue today. He also had another friend named Havria, who was also a Godess but explaining her would be spoilers for Zhongli's Story Quest.
Guizhong's story is in one of the books in game, idk remember the name though, I may have gotten some details wrong but tis the jist of it.

guizhong and zhongli relationship is hard to decipher, they are not lovers but they definitely arent just best friends, like two best friends that got married since they deem each other to be their life partner, guizhong died on her own will and turned dihua marsh to a land full of glaze lilies when she died on the spot. gods that didnt die on their will release an energy that mortals cant handle causing a degree of destruction which can be seen with havria. the glaze lilies on dihua marsh, though wiped out due to the war, serves as an evidence guizhong died peacefully

This explains alot about the rite of parting. His statue reacted to the perfume tgat mkre mature women liked most and he wanted glaze lillies as the ceremonial(?) Flower.

Venti was only just defeat 2 gods based lore in the game that I read wich is Debrican and durin. So tell me what did you get that from? I Never any find lore that indicate venti have the most kill in the archon war . Because I really curious since I found many coment about that but I didn't found any lore about that ( sorry for bad english)
@@zjudge9863 That's not true it's never told in the lore officially but we'll just assume that venti before is very strong cause he's able to defend mondstadt with only himself and some dragons

Honestly I thought it was so amazing right up until the end when the the frame was on Zhongli and it said “we’ll take our leave and go” and I honestly felt a tear come to my eye from how perfect it all fits together
