    Never expected HDB home can look like that. They really put thought into the layout to fit their needs, love it!

    I like how he describes the reasons passionately. This one sounds more personal. Nice ideas and again different!

    Glass block as a wall but the same time, natural light still can come in is really a genius idea to me.

    lovely place,... no allowance for kids ... I feel the government really needs to start questioning the practicality of tiny spaces and the rising correlation between a declining birthrate and smaller houses

      Kids cost a lot in this country. No real reason to have them at all.

    • @biibikiki1304
      @biibikiki1304 ปีที่แล้ว

      Huh? they hacked down walls and design their home . and the govt need to check on practicallity of the spaces? lol

      I live in a place where there is more then enough place to have big houses, and having many kids, but we have one of lowest birth rate in the world, just behind Japan. Low birth rates is more often associated with rich country rather then size of home. And I’m from the province of Quebec, in Canada

      @babaseng ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Who's to say they may or may not have kids in the future? However I do get what you're saying. Many DINK couple these days. While many may take pleasure in a 2 person wonderland, it does feel oddly empty to me. I can understand the allure of the freedom to have the lifestyle and option to pursue personal interests without the responsibility of kids but this allure and freedom starts to decline as we age and feel a strange sense of loneliness.
      Children are not a burden but a huge responsibility. However they do bring life to a space and as a parent of two, they do make turn the apartment into a home.

    Throughout the video, I heard several references to "space" , but the house looks anything but spacious, which is further exacerbated by false ceiling and elevated floor,
    The home appears to be cramped, with few furnishings and expensive renovations that cost roughly a quarter of the price of the property itself.
    The 1000 sqft space and money could have been better utilised.

    The design concept seems like an afterthought🤔filling up “space” with carpentry, glass blocks, doors and panels that make the place appears smaller than it actually is.

    I wonder how they clean their living room air-con?

  • @footprintsflo
    @footprintsflo ปีที่แล้ว +13

    Am I the only one who doesn't like this design? It feels claustrophobic and there are too many doors. It also makes the house smaller than it actually is. Too many hidden rooms makes it hard to get around and not bright and airy (it is quite dark actually)
    I think the layout is not the best.
