Thank you both for this message! Straight from God Almighty! In the middle of a situation in our marriage, a cycle of this situation, so I asked God what teaching do we need to hear for this communication in our marriage to work, he led us to this! Thank you Dave and Ashley! 😇

I really love this channel. It’s so encouraging and hope giving. And it gives me motivation to do what I can do to fix things even when I feel like there’s no hope

I will definitely try to read these books. Excellent message especially letting people talk negatively about your spouse. God bless you abundantly for the wonderful things you are pointing out here 🙏

Are we allowed to voice what is hurting us, but in a constructive way even if it's to others? Maybe it isn't helpful to do that and we should be only telling God or the one we feel hurt us. I have definitely felt God convicting me before about not speaking degradingly or negatively about whether my spouse or others. I am kind of surprised to hear that venting doesn't help but it also makes sense about the match scenario. Sometimes i just want to grieve my pain or sadness but i have got to do so in a positive way.
I do feel bad for someone close to me whose in a bad marrital situation and the spouse does not seem to want to listen and seems to have basically given up. So she has shared a lot about these issues bc i know them both.

The question today was so close to my husband's and my sex life. We married later in life and were only married a little over a year. Unfortunately , he died before we could work everything out.. i loved him so much and wanted to please him, but just couldn't. I think he was diabetic which caused some of the problems and he also had an addiction to porn which made me feel like i had to act like a porn star to please him. Even though he was a Christian, I could not convince him that it was wrong..

I feel like these two people have never been divorced. They seem to be Godly spiritual people who do things right. I’ve been in a marriage where the guy called himself a Christian but treated me like trash. He was angry and if I would respond in peace and calmness he would walk all over me and see it as weakness. I would walk away from his anger and he would follow me and keep arguing and yelling. He would only stop if I spoke up and argued with him. Please help me understand how not responding with an attitude doesn’t work because in my experience it does! And they tear you worse if you stay calm and use all of these techniques.

Praying for you. Been in a similar situation, but I won't say I know what it's like. If you know the Lord, keep praying and don't give up. He truly does care. Take one day at a time. This couple is actually more realistic than a lot,and they did give some good insight. Reach out to XO marriage website, they did mention that. But I do hope that more Christian counselors would take it to the next level and address the situations where one of the spouses says they are a Christian but not walking and talking as unto the Lord. May the lord strengthen and comfort you.

They are true in life as they are here! Praying for you. Some people call themselves Christians but have no fruit (Galatians 5:22-23) because they truly don’t keep Christ as their Lord, not reading the Bible daily.
