All of these Engines are only used for these games and nothing else.

You should include turbowarp. Yeah, sure, its basically scratch, but its ways different. Firstly, it runs everything in javascript, making the 3d games playable, secondly, you can customise everything from the screen size to the fps, and lastly, you can use custom extensions to do stuff like locking the mouse, and theres even one made just for physics.

I'm guessing since we're including beginner game engines and level editors in games, then I must mention Fancade. It's an app available for mobile devices only (afaik) that allows for creating simple 3D and 2D games in a voxel artstyle. It's very similar to Scratch in a way that the programming is block-based and games made in Fancade are only playable in the app.

Build is probably getting the least love these days, because it's a complete clusterfuck of an engine, but it's still getting used. Modern Quake source ports are _very_ capable engines, especially if you're going for an early 3D aesthetic. And GZDoom is _dead fucking simple_ to work with and thus is extremely popular with indie devs in the boomer shooter space (there are apparently some games outside the FPS genre being developed with it, too, though trying to figure out how or why anyone would do this resulted in me having to scrape chunks of grey matter back into my skull from off of the wall and ceiling behind me)

Honestly the GD 2.2 level editor is so freaking powerful that I consider GD a game engine. People have made too many crazy things on that (Someone even made a 3D engine in GD. Now we just have to wait for someone to remake Doom)

I can't believe Super Mario Maker got covered before LittleBigPlanet. It's still a level editor, but it has logic gates and parts letting you fully customize controls, physics and even music. Later they even added a part that lets you save progress in a level after quiting.

Honestly the GD 2.2 level editor is so freaking powerful that I consider GD a game engine. People have made too many crazy things on that (Someone even made a 3D engine in GD. Now we just have to wait for someone to remake Doom)
1:06 I know it is impressive that someone has made a full recreation of fnaf in gd but there are levels that are genuinely far more impressive examples are levels like what, limbo, how, floating outskirts, the tower verse (the first mythic level in the game) etc fnaf is the least someone can recreate in this game it is truly amazing how much this community has pushed the boundaries of what is possible

if you talk about Rockstar game engine, you must say about id tech (Doom, wolfenstein, quake), Dunia engine (FarCry 3,4,5,6), SnowdropEngine (Tom clancy Division1,2, Avatar, XDefiant), Frostbite (Battlefied series, Need For Speed, Dragon Age, Star Wars: Battlefront, dead space remake), Ubisoft Anvil (All Assasins creed series) etc
I can't believe Super Mario Maker got covered before LittleBigPlanet. It's still a level editor, but it has logic gates and parts letting you fully customize controls, physics and even music. Later they even added a part that lets you save progress in a level after quiting.
