So nice to see! Finally we are getting engines in planes for regular folks that come from companies that spend almost a billion dollars each year on R&D. Add a ballistic parachute and I really think we are getting the safest flying experience possible. If you aren't sold on them, I wasn't before either, watch this one th-cam.com/video/jgfG2DfPB6I/w-d-xo.html
Dang........so sweet!
That will be you shortly! 👍
is this at Old Time Aero, pretty sure i saw you one day when i was flying
Yes it was!
Sounds like a beast! Do you have any trouble generating enough rudder authority with that much power on takeoff?
Not as bad as you would think. Seems to take off really nice.
The only time you have a problem with rudder authority is with no power and slow airspeed.
I’m a taildragger pilot/owner
@@flyjunkee And a small rudder, and a high AOA.
I own a Glasair SII-TD 180hp.
I has a small rudder.
What the hell man? that's like a 50 feet takeoff? With a motorcycle engine xD
rough ramp weight?
So nice to see!

Take it easy
Need taller main tires to increase your max rotation AoA.
cruise? gph burn?
110mph at 6-7gph at around 8000rpm.
@@wallenaircraftllc9153 only 110? Seems a bit low even for a highlander with bush wheels. What prop?
@@stur6765 He changed the prop later for better cruise. But that's a reasonable cruise speed for a Highlander. It'll go faster, but what's the point?
17 seconds? :(
??
Can I have it? 😂
This was never 300 hp
Meaning the engine doesn’t make that or he didn’t use all of it on takeoff?
