Police in civvies should have a better method of identifying themselves when approaching public for police work. In an underground parking lot if somebody banged on my car asking to stop, I would be suspicious too.

At least approach ppl calmly seeing he is with his family. Why all the aggression remain professional so you can judge fairly...

    He never should've been prosecuted.
Perhaps naively, also hoping that his family's financial losses are something they can recoup sooner rather than... taking forever.

Typical police investigation: full on escalation leading to chaos. If they had just approached him normally and identified themselves without shouting, screaming and banging on his car, we wouldn’t be here.

You can't expect civilians to believe plainclothes officers who are dressed like gang members. Uniforms, marked cruisers and yellow police tape would have made a difference.

Time to sue for millions and move to Dubai and live peacefully. Height of incompetence and DEI all over. This is what happens when there are no consequences for screwing up a case. So called witnesses can retainer due to duress and get paid forever. Tax payers be prepared to pay for everything
