So well said. Watching people react to them for the first time is so incredibly satisfying. Makes me wish I was back 10 years again when I first got hooked.

The reason this probably didn't come up is because it's hard to find a bad Pentatonix cover. They may not even have any. Everything they touch turns to magic.
PTX Daft Punk won them their first Grammy. Prepare yourself for out of this world talent. Seriously. I am sure they are from another galaxy!

Your appreciation was so much fun to watch! They have quite a few Evolution Of medleys, though I'm not sure if the other artists are as much your thing as Michael Jackson. The Evolution of Music, Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ariana Grande (the latter two with Matt) are all excellent. There's also an Evolution of 'N Sync and I'm sure I must be missing more.
These are all done live and in one take. The studio where they recorded them said none took more than four attempts and two of those were generally just them wanting to try different things to see if it hit better.
There's also a professional video of them singing this one live in concert if you ever want to revisit it. It's the Popsprings concert where MTV shot their whole set - 3 originals and the Evolution of MJ.

Oh my goodness....Kevin's beautiful voice! This video is so awesome! 1st time seeing it . Now Avi...what else can I say. Of couse the other 3 are always incredible. They are always perfection. God was smiling on all of them including Matt when they were created.

The reason this is not an immediate request when beginning ur ptx journey is ppl usually save this for when they fully know the group and what they bring to the table. But watching it early is never a bad thing! Loved it!

Extraordinary. Yes sir. Musical geniuses. I felt every emotion you had and still after watching them over and over I am blown away. Its almost too much to digest. lol. Please react to Daft Punk. This was their first Grammy win. They won 3 Grammys in their earlier years with Avi. I love that you felt and appreciated the foundation of the band which is the rhythm section. The basso profundo Avi (pronounced Ah-Vee) Kaplan was the original bass for the band and Kevin Olusola is the (beatboxer). They were roommates and Daft Punk was filmed in their apartment(kitchen and closet areas). Can't wait to see more of your PTX reactions. The Pentaholics are super and will support you on your journey.

With PTX there is no such thing as a bad song, so a random selection of songs that interest you will absolutely work for reactions. Pentaholics will usually suggest songs in groups/bunches, based on a reactors perceived interests or the “standard” introductory songs. This is generally in the second or third group of suggestions, so you just skipped in line. 😏 No big deal. All the songs will eventually be requested, so do them in whatever order you please.
Their music heals. Why do you get goosebumps?? Beyond Amazing.
I always get tickled when PTX leaves people speechless.
This is my favourite of their evolution videos, but they're all terrific. PTX is in their element in these no-frills, one-take arrangements. I recommend you check out all the others, and don't miss their cover of Kiiara's "Gold." You will appreciate the genius of their upgrade if you listen to the original first. Pentatonix turns it into pure vocal gymnastics. Great reaction!
SUPERLATIVE ... that's the word you need!
They do 21 songs in this evolution I believe...and they do quite a few of these types of evolution mashups, which they're killer at. It is fun to watch people react to PTX the first few times, it takes the brain a few dozen times to believe that what your hearing is really just 5 people's voices and amazing amounts of talent!

Loved your reaction here! Actually, I do recommend this once new listeners get "hooked." These "Evolution" videos are shot in one long take - no do-overs. There's also a great live version of this available from their 2016 Popspring performance: three PTX originals plus this.
What did you just see, you ask? Perfection. And you are right; there is no single word to describe what they create. Your reaction was so much fun. Love watching the swift evolution of reactors when it comes to experiencing Pentatonix. "Be With Me" is his latest homage to MJ but you'll also want to check out his duet of "Earth Song" with an amazing multilingual rapper and one of my favorites is a Dimash original, composed by Igor Krutoy I think, called "Give Me Your Love" where he dances like MJ (including a moonwalk) and truly embodies the MJ persona. 💕

We didn't recommend this one because there are ten years of music from these guys and we just hadn't got to this one yet. All of their Evolution videos are great. My fave is "Evolution of Music".
