Super Monkey Ball 3D is the 16th Super Monkey Ball entry, developed and published by Sega and released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
Players must guide AiAi, MeeMee, Baby or GonGon through a series of stages inside their titular Monkey Balls. There are eight worlds to explore in this entry, each with ten levels a piece.
Super Monkey Ball 3D has two minigames alongside the main Monkey Ball gameplay;
Monkey Fight: A Super Smash Bros. style platform fighter where players must attack one another to obtain bananas, with the winner being the monkey with the most bananas when time runs out. Each character has their own super attacks, such as AiAi launching a flurry of punches, MeeMee using her hammer to create a shockwave, Baby using a mecha to battle and send out sonic waves and GonGon creating tornadoes with the force of his punch.
Monkey Race: A go-karter style game in which players compete to race across a series of tracks. Unlike previous iterations of Monkey Race, the player races in a more traditional go-kart. There are three tracks to choose from, and a multitude of power ups to launch at their opponents such as a disco ball that makes opponents karts spin to the music, a coconut bomb that explodes when thrown and even a pair of 3D glasses that obscures the player in front's vision.
