Whacky Shack POV 2022 (Waldameer)

It’s that time of year again for our annual ride through Waldameer’s world-famous Whacky Shack dark ride. I didn’t notice much in the way of changes this season with the exception of the strobe light spider web being back and the ghoul in the truck’s head being shifted to the left. Other than that, everything was in good working order and the ride delivered its classic experience. Now in its 53rd season, the Shack continues to be a must-see on any trip to Waldameer. Super cool!
On the one hand, it seems a bit dated compared to some more modern dark rides I've seen. On the other hand, there's lots of cool effects I love that I haven't seen anywhere else. And, even the stuff that I've seen before seems pretty well executed! You can tell at least a couple people really cared about making something memorable.
