Thanks for the review! Looking forward to your full comparison video. Just got one of these recently and am loving my new Skull & Co gripcase! It's a better fit and more comfortable for me than Satisfye's as I've tried both.
as a new switch owner i really appreciate your content. it's pretty much the best reviews on youtube. no useless crap and annoying segments. I love the direct view to the actual product unlike other reviewers whose faces take up 90% of the screen time
i didn't like the case itself i wanted separate joycon grips so i took the grips that came with it and double sided tape them to the switch itself they fit perfectly and it fits into the carry case too . it docks as well, also you can get a center only connector and you can use them as a controller. its held up for a month now and still doing great
Yup. Get that. I have done a comparison of one in the style of Satisfye, but I’m going to do one of skull and co versus Satisfye soon as those are the 2 popular models. 👍🏻
@@Tobstar yeah i know but the one size firs All is really good i also wanted a skull and Co switch grip in the past but when i saw satifyes and got it it was so good so yeah
@@show-me-retro thanks for the response! Yeah that was a big concern of mine and also that when TPU seems to be flimsy compared to the previous model. You’ve helped me make my decision! :)

I’m going to do a video on that very question. About to do a vid on the skull cases. Then one comparing skull and satisfye. Haven’t decided the winner yet :)
How do the trigger buttons feel with the case over the top of them? I heard people say that with the original case the triggers didn't always press because of the case over them.
With the sliding mechanism method of taking the grips on/off, do they become loose over time and are prone to come off easy, or are they robust and reliable?
@@CTAtechdesk Hmm that's too bad. I'm tempted to try because I like that since it's clear the skin is still visible. But I am a little worried about the tightness. When you say you weren't comfortable do you mean because it was damaging the skin? Thanks so much for replying!
I got the skull and co limited edition transparent orange game cube one I notice it would never fit in my dock but I have screen protector on. The new one might work seems more slim the looseness concerns me though if I want to use the bigger grips but i will probably be fine with the snap grip. It a common problem where some docks are tighter then other docks my first dock would scratch my screen then I got a replacement dock and my screen repair but the new one is pretty tight still. I got switch when it launch wish I did the extended warranty from game stop have to send back to Nintendo for the warranty!
@@CTAtechdesk yeah Nintendo said my claims not inclusive saying the dock didn't scratch it but it did I didn't have a screen protector at the time they never take responsibility until a law suit happens but they fix the scratching for free though i can't complain then i put a screen protector when it got back and they gave me a new dock too.
Yeah. Both are excellent. The S&C is bigger but the interchangeable grips are a bonus. The mumba is much cheaper though. Sorry, I can’t tell you which one to get as both are great.
Can you tell me how big is the accessories compartment that's beneath the Switch while in the case? On the website it says that it can fit the AC adapter (2 pin) but I don't get what 2 pin means... The european plug as well as the american has 2 pins. I actually decided to pay more for the bundle thinking I'll be able to fit the adapter that came with the console (euro plug) but now I'm wondering if it's spacious enough. If it's not I will probably cancel the order and get the grip only.
Ive just measured it for you. It is 15.cm wide, 12cm deep (front to back) and 3.5cm deep, although you have a few mm give in the depth as it can fit more underneath a and push the switch up a fraction. HTH
I loved my first skull n co grip, except I couldnt use my hori D pad joy-con in it like I can with the satisfye grip..I wonder if this case is the same?
Thanks for the content. I have been through 5 cases, since getting the regular switch for Christmas. Originally, I got the older version of the S&C grip case over this one. I tried the mumba battle case, and two other slim cases... all hurt my right thumb. The S&C case (original) was probably the better of them all, but I just ordered the new crystal one, because of the fact that the grips stuck out to the side more, which is what I am looking for. Through trial and error, I hope the crystal one is the best. The original S&C case came with the original max carry case (red and blue zipper) will it still fit in the original max carry case with the new crystal case? I don't want to have to buy another max carry case?
@@Zykerrr I just ended up getting the newer max carry case (with the red zippers) it works good.... with it being a hair bigger, I have found a little more space is good.

Hi there, ive just tested it in the case i *think* you have and it fits. Ive tried it in the power A stealth case which is the smallest, thinnest i know and it fits just fine. But only using the small grips as you say.
You will need to order direct from Skull & co (link and 10% off code in the pinned comment). I’m sure it will be available at amazon at some point, just not yet.
I'm annoyed, cause I just bought the old one like just last Christmas and I then saw that they released this just AFTER I ordered and it was already shipped... like come on now... Oh well, I still like the old one, but I still am also pissed that I saw this one late and it was on their Holiday sale too. XD
AHH that's annoying. I just got the Skull and Co grips for the Switch in December. But it looks like these stick out to the side more, I much rather that!
This is so close to being great but as it stands the original is better. Silicone is a fingerprint and smidge magnet and yellows. Supposedly it doesnt sgay on as well as the black on Plus some reviews say its thinner for some reason? If it had the material of the black tpu it would be perfect but sadly the company said they have no plans to do so.

My question would be if this case can fit on the switch if the switch has dbrand skins on it?
