Emilia Pérez is a really bad, offensive and stereotypical portrayal of a culture the director clearly doesn’t understand. To be even considered as an international film, when it’s appropriating and misrepresenting latin people. Shame.
I think the Box Office Achievement award has a minimum box office of $150M requirement. That's why movie like 'Terrifier 3' or 'The Substance' were ineligible. I read on Twitter that Dune 2 didn't qualify for the award because they didn't submit it for the category. I think that's the only thing that makes sense for its omission.
I was extremely disappointed that Marianne Jean Baptiste didn't get a nomination for best actress drama in "Hard Truths". I thought she gave a brilliant performance in that movie.
Marianne Jean-Baptiste is out in Drama category . Thank god for that. She was just awful. A terrible, underwritten, super unlikable, unrelatable character with no arc she was performing. Just Unbearable.. MJB missed European Film Awards too. That says a lot.
I respectfully disagree w the MJB take. I think she had a very layered performance carrying all the way from “angry Karen” to sympathetic mother with depression. Equal amounts of comedy & emotion. Thank you for watching!

@@rachel_dawn_amber bam! I praise the performances but other than that I’m baffled 😵💫
