    The fact that Michael basically beatboxed the entire beat then added the sounds and all. True genius.

    • @RoyalRoses
      @RoyalRoses 3 ปีที่แล้ว +213

      He beat boxed in the majority of his songs, he also strictly beat boxed in the rehearsals, starting in his 20s. Not a soul knew what it was. He was literally the first mainstream artist to beat box. He was actually the first professional artist to beat box in general. 99% of the world had never even known of its existence before him, he was actually offered the patent for it but turned it down because the concept was introduced to him by some of the teenagers that lived on the streets in the inner cities. They weren't exactly beat boxing but thats where he got the idea and improved on their concept. He is literally the original, it blows my mind that this isn't well known. Beat boxing would very likely not exist today if it weren't for him. He didn't "change the industry", he made it. Everything we have today is derived from his work in some way and this is very well known/understood in the entertainment industry.

      @@RoyalRoses i would agree with you on that maybe a misunderstanding on my part, having listen to MJ since the 80s and growing up in the break dancing/beatbox era i didn't know he was an incredible beat boxer until an interview i saw back in 2010. He's a great innovator but he took ideas to eccentric levels and popularized them. The moomwalk was already a popular dance move during the breakdancing era before he popularized it to the world for Billy Jean.

      All thanks to Sony & Tommy mottola👿

    • @RoyalRoses
      @RoyalRoses 3 ปีที่แล้ว +254

      Sony completely screwed Michael on the release. He did his job and they didn't do theirs but still got their check at the end of it all. He advocated for artists, who are being treated poorly by their labels, to have more rights over their music/career after this situation. He called Tommy Mottola 'The Devil' directly to the press several times and it was very well deserved (we all know how much Michael hated the press so he must have been extremely hurt to give them the information on this situation). He worked his artists to death then stole from them. When people talk about the evilness within the industry, people like Mottola are who they are talking about. Sony and Mottola are genuinely evil, they will get their karma one day and it won't be pretty.

I listened to Invincible about a month after in 2009 and found it polarizing. 10 years later, I wholeheartly agree that this album is beyond slept on. And that's from a 40 year old man, most artists' artistry decay when they get older, i don't mean worse but normally it lacks some elements that can surprise the audience and top the chart, But not MJ, this album could have been a global smash hit and another peak in his life.

    LaShawn Daniels, a talented songwriter who co-wrote many of the songs from this album. Michael’s best work next to Thriller and Off the Wall. A legendary songwriter who wrote some of my favourite songs from Brandy, Destiny’s Child, Monica, Usher and etc. He died today. May his soul rest easy and I hope he’s having a good time partying up there with the greats!
