It's not required to wash them before. If you're doing a stable material like a thick twill or polyester then you might wash it so that it doesn't shrink. But most embroidered garments are recommended to be washed in cold water.
Tajima is in the top tier of leading machines. Along with ZSK (German), Barudan (Japanese), and HAPPY (Japanese). Tajima is also a Japanese company, manufacturer of both software (Tajima Pulse DGML) and their embroidery machines. Tajima is the brand all the Chinese manufacturers and exporters try to clone and match. They aren't there because they use cheaper parts to keep the costs down. With all the marketing materials our there, I can understand why you'd think that. And I'd agree, if I was in the market for a new machine id replace my HAPPY 12 needle four heads with a single TAJIMA 15 needle six head.
Turned out beautifully ❤❤❤.

Thanks for sharing this and redirecting me here! This was very helpful! Do you usually wash the garments before embroidering them?

@@EmbroideryNerd okay thanks, great to know !
Isn't the Tajima a Ricoma? I have the Ricoma 10 needle. Wish I had purchased the 15 needle. Good job tonight.

Pretty good, but doesn't look centered.
I can certify that it is centered. Jeff and I spent a good deal making sure.
