a meal prepared like this just hits different right? we love this vibe so much. you have a great taste how to choose music and create a perfect atmosphere🤍
The wood stove is also our favorite part of the van... especially in winter! And yes Grayman, we are well prepared for any winter conditions, thanks for caring ❤
Beautiful video guys! Feels super rustic. I’ve gotta ask about that wood you bought, how does that compare to normal wood? Does it burn slower? Or do you use it just to get the fire going? Seems like it would get expensive very quick.. also how do you like your stove? Is it big enough or would you get the size bigger?
Hey Matt, thanks so much for watching our video! About the wood: We began by using real logs but it was so annoying to cut them at the right size every now and then that we decided to try this ''compressed wood''. At first, I was very skeptical but it turns out that it was the best move ever! You can literally break it with your hands, it creates almost no ashes and it burns instantly. I wouldn't say that it burns slower or faster than normal wood. Regarding price, here in Quebec, we pay 4$ for a box that lasts us around 2 weeks so I think it's a pretty good deal! And yes we LOVE our stove, it's the best part of our build. Of course, it would be much easier with a diesel heater but, for us, it was never a question: we wanted a wood stove (plus it creates dry heat). The size is perfect for our van. A bigger wood stove would create to much heat!
@@annaandjean $4 for 2 weeks! Golly, I imagined youd be going through like a box a day. Your van must be insulated well. For me, as soon as the propane heater is off, it starts getting cold. So I dont even bother with winter. Thanks for the info on the your stove, I guess thats kind of the thing, its so small, you cant put in big chunks, but any bigger and it would be too hot. How often do you need to load the stove?
@@MattSteeves Yes, we did put in a lot of insulation because we knew that we wanted to use the van in winter as well! I would say we put one ''log'' every 2 hours and we usually let it die during the night cause the heat stays until around 5am. Then, of course, it gets pretty cold pretty fast but hey it's winter and you gotta tolerate (and love?) the cold at some point haha!
I don't know how I missed this but great video as always!
Ahh thank you so much ☺
Very beautiful & cold. Ending the day with beer was a good reward!
Thanks for your support Tim, it means a lot to us! And the beer was indeed absolutely delicious!
Ohhh! I am in a Tiny House in Québec and I have the same Grizzly Wood Stove than you! So great to see that!!!
That's so nice to hear! Those tiny wood stoves are so lovely, it's definitively our favorite part of the build. Merci d'avoir écouté notre vidéo ☺!

Wow, thank you for the support Andi! We never thought that someone from Indonesia would one day watch our video 😍
Merci pour cette belle vidéo... petite question : dans ces conditions extremes, êtes vous contents de votre petit poele à bois ?
Oui, absolument ! Sans lui ce serait tout simplement impossible de faire du camping l'hiver.
