hi,i did a trip from melbourne to broken hill in '71 hd holden 6 persons ,shearing geat and all our other stuff, uneventfull untill wentworth a great bunch of kangaroos bouded across in front of us,glad the driver saw them, might make it more interesting if you could identify towns and perhaps road juctions, turn off so we know where you are, dont have too just a thought, did you do this for pleasure or going to work ?cheers, bralen
Thank you for this video!! It really helps when planning out my trip to White Cliffs. The areas look rather "non outback" until about the 7th hour. Then the red dirt really makes an introduction!! But all in all they really have built a great road, that I would say most reliable well equipped cars could do without venturing off it! Thanks again for the upload!
Really great video. I have it playing on my iPad while working. Makes me feel like I’m actually exploring the great outdoors and not stuck inside. Thanks for sharing. 🚗🤗
Great video! I've always wanted to do this trip. Must be very boring driving on those remote tracks that go forever though. I really think they could and should up the speed limit to 130 km/h on the straight parts like the NT has. Maybe allow 130 km/h in the day at 110km/h at night cause of animals on the road. The straight sections of the barrier highway between Cobar and Broken Hill and the Mitchell highway between Nyngan and Bourke could be a trial for 12 months or something, because fatigue is a real issue out here.
Strange as it might seem, the most boring stretch of road I have driven is from Hay to Balranald on the Sturt Hwy (incl the whole trip Sydney to Perth). 😈🏳🌈
@@roadcamz Thanks I have looked at these clips a few times you do an awesome job travelling the country with these road trips would you know where in NSW the countryside changes from the agricultural beautiful countryside to the semi arid plains of NSW?
How do you do this without music or something playing? You'd need a coffee or coke to provide some kick while you navigate those long stretches. One could easily fall asleep.
You have a Navman MiVue 730 Dashcam, may I ask what size, brand and class of micro card you use. I have purchased a Navman MiVue 745 and there is almost no help in installing the correct memory card.

I have been doing a lot of travelling on youtube lately and it makes for some very relaxing times and is super cheap. No airports etc. 🏳🌈
One more video before I go to bed
I miss driving in Australia, especially outside of the big cities. Love the videos!
Glad you like them!
Nice video - it's like I'm sitting in that car - amazing!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Curious as to why you didn't take the (shorter) Goolma Rd from Mudgee to Dubbo? Great video.
I had been that way before, wanted to explore new route. Thanks for your comment.
This is exactly what I want to see
Enjoy :)
Great vid have yous done the other way round from Broken Hill to Sydney?
No, just one way.
@@roadcamz Thanks I have looked at these clips a few times you do an awesome job travelling the country with these road trips would you know where in NSW the countryside changes from the agricultural beautiful countryside to the semi arid plains of NSW?
3 hrs and 7hrs. What roads are these?

I had coffee in the morning. Took rest. Water all day.
JUst started the road trip.
Enjoy :)
When I lived in broken hill I did this every couple of months
Cool.
What time did you leave Sydney? It must have been some time before dawn.

I'm using Samsung Evo 128gb memory card
@@roadcamz many thanks for your reply. I will get one of those.
In your experience, what speeds do cars generally travel at in the outback sections? Do they mostly keep to the speed limit or go much faster?
Don't have much outback experience, have got tailgated when on speedlimit.
Which car you drive to broken hill ??? Is a 4wd mandatory to explore the broken hill. I got rav4 AWD
Mitsubishi ASX, I didn't drive off road.
Did you drive it all in on day
Yes
That’s a very long video 🤩
Yes, it is. Enjoy.
That's the general idea😂
It is only 1,115kms from Wentworthville to The Hill. Not quite the whole way across NSW.😵💫👻🏳🌈
"We're off to Broken Hill."
Enjoy :)
@@roadcamz.
Don't you remember the AAMI ad where this line was said?
I’m glad you didn’t do the trip in an electric car. The video would have been 20 hours long 😊
😁
Australia is so flat.
Edit: Australia is the flattest and lowest continent.
Not really.
@@roadcamz 9th flattest country in the world.
