Fun fact. When the award show was taking place they would indeed stop you from walking down to your seat. You would have to wait in the back for the next commercial for you to be able to get to your seat. You are seeing people walking because this performance took place right after a commercial, so those people were just going to their seat and there was people in the back not allowed to go in until the next commercial. If you had to go use the restroom you would literally have to rush it or else you would miss a chunk of the award show. There were signs posted at the entrance that said you can’t walk in when the show is live.
