As a piano Newby, I practiced my modes by playing them in each scale, but I do it in a different order. I start with Lydian, Ionian, Misolydian, Dorian, Aeolian, Phrygian and Lochrian. That way one starts with the only sharpening scale, then it goes in order of flattening notes. There is one more mode using a flat fourth. And actually there is another mode you can flatten the first. There is a name for it, but you have to have a Doctorate in Geek to remember it.

It is a cohesive collection of songs used to tell a bigger theme or project an overall vibe. Think of an album as a book. And your songs as chapters.
Every book has chapters. Every album has songs.
Each chapter is different. Each song is different.
But the collection of chapters (the collection of songs) is what tells the full story of the book (of the album). 💿 Mini book 📕 📖 📚 chapter book 📕 📖 📚 full book 📕 📖 📚 are the same but in general albums 💿 are a book 📕 📖 📚. main division of a book, typically with a number or title.

I like those notes on the fretboard. I really want to learn my guitar this year. I am sick of people asking me if I can play anything I all I can say is no. outside of making a chord or two, I am lost. I kno the bottom string is the same notes at the top string, am I totally hopeless? can someone as slow as me really learn this thing late in life? I have failed at everything so far, why would this be different but deep down, I just want to learn how to play to express my feelings without going on a rampage. lol ok I am done now. I am going to watch this vid with guitar in my hand

I watch later. In the minor pentatonic why is the flated 7th used instead of the flated 6th?
I couldn't have answered this without Mike's other excellent videos. The formula for any minor scale, relative to the major scale is 1, 2, b3, 4, 5, b6, b7. If you put those notes on the tone circle, the 2 notes a tritone apart, 6 semi-tones, opposite sides of the circle, are 2 and b6, so those are the ones you throw away, as Mike did the 4 and 7 notes of the Major scale. I also noticed that they are the 4 and 7 of Cm's relative Major, Eb. Which is obvious, once you know C and Am scales have the same notes in them :-).

My only comment is that you showed the relationship brilliantly with the relative minor, you should have also demonstrated it with the parallel minor. Not a criticism, a critique to help you perfect a great idea.
Usually the songs on an album are the result of an artist's creations during a season of life. This means the songs can all speak to a similar set of themes, ideas and topics. So the aim of an album name is to try and sum up the big story/concept that all the songs pull from when they were written. It's not always like these, especially today. But traditionally, an album is like a "book" with the songs inside being like "chapters." Is it true that chapters are main division of a book 📕 📖 📚 with a number or title example chapter 10 best of my life? And also does mini book,full book,chapter book all are the same but in my opinion studio albums is a book 📕 📖 📚 while the numbers and the song title are the chapters is that correct ✅?
