    Thank you for your honest review. I've welded for almost 20 years and just wanted something reliable for the house and you just made my mind up. I love a good hard working machine as I tend to stretch them to the max after working in the field for so long.

    • @LincolnElectricRetail
      @LincolnElectricRetail  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your purchase! Here's info from the operator's manual pertaining to generators:
      The machine is designed to operate on engine driven generators as long as the auxiliary can supply adequate voltage, frequency and power as indicated in the “Technical Specification” Installation Section of this manual. The auxiliary supply of the generator must also meet the following conditions:
      Frequency: 60 Hz
      RMS voltage of the AC waveform: 90-250 V; Out of this range will trigger undervoltage and overvoltage protections.
      Generator Minimum 3 kW (120VAC) 6kW (230VAC)
      It is important to check these conditions because many engine driven generators produce high voltage spikes. Operation of this machine with engine driven generators not conforming to these conditions is not recommend and may damage the machine and is also NOT covered by warranty.
      You can view the owner's manual here:
      lincolnelectricretail.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Weld-Pak-180i-MP-DV-Owners-Manual.pdf
      Hope this helps! Please write-back if you need more help.

    Need Help?? Been watching and reading a lot of reviews on welders. I really like this one because of the multi function and 120/240v selection. Question: Is the Lincoln 180i MP Dv a good enough welder to weld Hot rod Chassis Frame parts? Specifically shock mounts, Cnotch etc…??

    • @LincolnElectricRetail
      @LincolnElectricRetail  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes the Lincoln Electric Weld-Pak®180i MP DV is perfect for those welding applications. Refer to the process chart that comes with the 180i for the correct amperage and electrode or wire to use for the job. And remember to wear your PPE. Keep it safe!

    • @LincolnElectricRetail
      @LincolnElectricRetail  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It depends on the thickness and type of metal. The LE31MP is rated to flux-cored weld up to 5/16" using .035 with multi-pass welds, powered by a 20 amp 120v circuit. Please refer to the manufacturer's specifications for the parts you are welding and take all safety precautions. For more info on the LE31MP, please visit:

    • @LincolnElectricRetail

      Yes. It's very easy to switch between MIG and stick. No need to remove the MIG gun. There are terminals on the front of the machine to easily attach the stick cable, and ground cable. And then use the push button selector to change from MIG to stick mode. Very simple! How would 6011 rods work with this machine?

    • @LincolnElectricRetail
      @LincolnElectricRetail  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For stick welding, the 180i has an output range of 25 to 160 amps if operating on a 230-volt circuit. This will give you enough power to use 3/32 and 1/8 for all projects, and 5/32 in most cases when welding flat or vertical.

    • @muddinkev44

      I have tried both. We use the stick feature often because it's a handy small machine and is better than dragging leads. We tried the lift arc tig once. We are pretty spoiled with our high frequency start machines so that feature doesn't get used much in our shop.
