i think most of people would be a little afraid to say viltrox is a very good lens because of the price range. but for me i can say out loud viltrox is the winner, budget or no budget.
Great comparison. Thank you very much!. I just bought the Viltrox second hand in mint condition for around 200 and I think it's good enough for a hobbyist, especially if you stop it down to F2 or F2.8
Just finished a shoot using all viltrox 23,33,56 and I absolutely love how easy they flair. Really allowed me to get a fun variety of shots :) . Thanks for the great video
For most of the pictures I couldn't tell the difference. The Fuji might have a tiny bit and I mean TINY bit better bokeh. Viltrox does an amazing job overall. I'd have to question that price difference. Their 85mm is no slouch either.
I’d have the Fuji because of the better image fidelity/micro contrast, marginally better bokeh and I just love the design of the lens a lot more than the Viltrox. Also I own the Fuji 23.
You can clearly see (even with the compression algorithm of TH-cam) how much more detail the Fujifilm keeps in the shadows compared to the Viltrox, which is really too contrasty, with deeper detail less shadows.
I hoped the Viltrox would be better than it is, since its so much cheaper. But seeing the difference i'm convinced the Fuji is the lens to get. The Viltrox f/1.4 looks more like competition to the Fuji f/2, would love to see a comparison between those two.
The Viltrox has more contrast but more CA. I also think that the Viltrox 23 is slightly better than the Viltrox 33 in rendering the subject. I own all 4 Viltrox lenses for Fujifilm and all of the Fujifilm fast aperture comparable lenses.
Thanks xing. I was searching for this comparison video of yours just last night. And here u are, uploaded this video doing the comparison(no wonder i couldnt find it last night)😂. It was as if u've read my mine..haha.
Very nice comparison work! I think the Fujinon beats the Viltrox on lens falre, chromatic aberation and micro contrast. Considering the price difference the Viltrox lens is clearly a good option for the budget minded shooter. For me personally the the lens flare of the Viltrox is a bit too much, with the rest I could live. Great work!
Great comparison! I was a little disappointed with viltrox. It looks like they have different apertures, although both are 1.4. Would love to see a comparison at night, thanks!
Thanks for the nice comparison. Not sure whether you moved slightly after switching lenses. I noticed some differences in the framing----as if the Fuji has a bit narrower angle of view than the Viltrox, which also explains the slightly more blurry background.
Hi, the focusing slightly slower, but the Viltrox 27mm F1.2 Pro improved on the focusing speed 😊 viltroxstore.com/products/viltrox-af-27mm-f-1-2-pro-xf-mount?ref=_g07zkgl2ceYcM
is there a video sharpness difference between them ? A review on TH-cam mentioned that Fuji 23 f2 is soft in video compared to Viltrox which is same price ($400) . Also how bad is flare in your opinion. Test seem to have pretty bad flare on viltrox.

to me seems like fuji comes always better and the viltrox is either a touch wider, or the out of focus backdground is less blurry for some reasone. price difference is big, but the quality is on point with fuji 🤔
@@caliallstaring your content is great and I am documenting myself for future investments in Fiji lenses. Although we have cheaper alternatives now, it seems to me that Fuji offers better options for the price they ask.
It's crazy how the Fuji lens has more separation! it seems like the Viltrox is not a true 1.4. I noticed the same when comparing the Fuji 23 f1.4 at F2 to its little brother the Fuji 23 f2. The 1.4 lens has more separation, and creamier bokeh, more and bettter. Certainly one of the best Fuji lenses. The Viltrox has nervous bokeh especially in the edges and with complex patterns, I really can't stand it. The best in that regard among the Viltrox primes is the 56 f1.4.

Loved this comparison. Would either of these be good for low light like a party??? Thanks again.
Thanks 😊 yes, should be good for low light party, make sure to shoot at wide open 1.4 to attract maximum light into the sensor.

Viltrox 56mm f1.4 & 85mm f1.8 , which one is better for Portrait & Pre_Wedding shooting?
By the Way, is viltrox 23mm f1.4 good for wedding shoot?
Viltrox 23mm is good for group photos and tight space. Viltrox 56 is more versatile and you don’t need a lot of space to work with.
Im confused!! Viltrox 23mm 1.4 or 33mm 1.4 😱 what should i buy?
If you shoot more in tight space, go for 23mm F1.4
