Oh, my! Finally I've seen the making of "You're Beautiful " which made him so breathlessly handsome and daring!
He is indeed an army in the real sense of the word.
The video was shot in front of my grandmas house on Mallorca. She told me that story around ten years ago. I found it funny, but also didn't really believe it, as there was no evidence. Now, that the song turns 20 years old, I finally looked up the making of - and there it is! She told the truth. There's a very short moment when I can see her house here. Childhood memories. And also: I jumped from the same cliff as he does in the video. But I didn't need the training :D
I bet the “training” was required by their insurance carrier.
I think the director forgot that James is a trained soldier. He may have a posh accent, but he did spend a long time in a war zone.

I looked the musikvideo and the making of wen I was young with my father and this video with the jump from that rock burned deep in my brain. For a lot of years I forgot witch song that was but every time when I heard songs from this time I thought about the jump.
I am 18. now and I am so happy that I could look it a second time :D

Why thank God he doesn’t condone this song 😂 people aren’t Angels, & they don’t become Angels, people who don’t accept Christ or believe in him go to Hell, not Heaven. A few years ago when I first saw this, I knew it was real.
And it was so emotionally moving to see his courage and commitment expressed in creating this video.
I had no idea how far the drop was, in the original. It could have been eighty feet, the way they pulled the perspective.
