Brendon you are fantastic!!👍😊 To see Albums by Fandango (my favorite Band),Reverend,Pilot and even Znöwhite and other great Stuff in one Video is too good to be true!! I often watch your great Channel, absolutely loveit!!!😊
That’s how I feel when I find a variety of albums like this!
I used to trade in things that i thought i would never listen to. Bought most of those back of course 😂. Things change
Met Dave Hill from slade while supermarket shopping 👍
Damn! How cool is that, all I ever meet at grocery store is HIGH PRICES! I did see Scott Ian from Anthrax, here in Huntington Beach, CA. at Pavilions like ten years ago. I thanked him for all the speeding tickets his music has been responsible for, he laughed and was really cool and down to earth! Just picked up my first Slade album, a two disc greatest hits collection that I am going to share with my neighbors!
How many Supermarkets did you buy ?.
SO MANY NEW ALBUMS!!!!!!
Wow I had no idea this Too Fast For Love holy grail even existed! I have the Elektra copy from 1982. Kickass album for sure!
In my local thrift store I found a few things. One was the debut album (CD) from Steelheart. Didn't know much about them, but I'm digging it so far. Also found Agent Provacteaur by Foreigner! And got some CDs at a yard sale over the weekend, a Cult type of rarity compilation, best of Skid Row, a few others and Deep Purple's 'When We Rock We Rock....", and a Little River Band LP
I've been slowly collecting Hawkwind! Now I'll have to start the quest for that entire cd set.
👍
Sounds like a Motley looking Crue 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome was re-packaged and released as Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply in 1984. 2 different songs-Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply & Can't Tame A Hurricane replacing Cocky Rock Boys (Rule O.K.) & Razzle Dazzle Man. That was the only version we could find in our area.
you say "Growling" like it's a bad thing. To me it's what I love about metal.
I recommend cds from Occult Metal band Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats. The band has been described as "the original Alice Cooper band jamming in a cell with early Black Sabbath and the Stooges".
Totally rockin' fun band! The name alone guarantees that Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats are gonna BRING IT, and they do!
Steve Hunter (who played in Mitch Ryder's Detroit Wheels and Detroit and later with Alice Cooper and Lou Reed) was the first lead guitar soloist on Aerosmith's rendition of "Train Kept A Rollin'" from Get Your Wings (Alice Cooper's other guitarist Dick Wagner played the second solo on the track.) Neither Joe Perry nor Brad Whitford played lead on it.
Steve Hunter also did an instrumental cover of the Beach Boys "Sail On Sailor" in 1977.
I bought the first New England album when it came out in 1979. I still love it. It’s even better than Explorer Suite.
I plan to add it to the collection whenever I find one.
I like (no i love) all 3 albums, and i have John Fannons' solo album "Saved all the pieces", too.
The New England debut is GOLD! Never heard any other albums by them, but if they are even close to debut, I need em'!
I love these videos Brendan & what a brilliant holiday weekend you must have had. You don't have to justify your buying habits. I've had to part with music to generate disposable income in the past and then bought them again when finances improve. As you say its life & we all change our outlook & have different priorities 😊
I’m surprised to hear what you said about record stores splitting up box sets. The stores I go to never do this. They sell the box set complete with all the discs together and sometimes charge an arm and a leg because of its rarity.
To be fair it’s not the record store that is splitting up the boxset. It’s someone selling a collecting of discs but not having all of them and the store doesn’t realize they are from a boxset and thinks they’re just stand alone.
Wow great finds with Saga , huge fan
Pretty Maids such an underrated band. Should have been bigger
No doubt - killer musicians!
Awesome pick ups 👌
Greetings from Northumberland.
Hi Brendon some great purchases there. The Pretty Maids one is a classic but if you haven't got "anything worth doing, is worth overdoing" then please check it out n thank me later!!
Also The Police album Synchronicity is getting the boxset treatment so that's getting bought.
Cheers n keep smiling
Since Future World, Pretty Maids has been favorite band..many good albums👌
Oh Municipal Waste nice! I do love when metal does film ref songs. I am a huge movie nerd so when my two loves mix
Evildead is great. I think their first 2 albums haven’t been in print forever. I forgot they had a new album dropping this year. I liked their comeback album from 2020. Juan of the dead who’s in that band also has been in Body Count for years and years.
You did it !!!!
The Amazing Kamikaze Syndrome is my favourite Slade album. Think it was released as Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply in the US, with a slightly different track list. Rogues Gallery is a corker too.
Yes it was and a few different track listings
Great episode, awesome findings, Brendon!! Carry on!!
Joe Gruschecky is from Pittsburgh, not Philly. He was in the Iron City Houserockers. Pittsburgh is known as Steel City.
Always give me great ideas and just a cool dude 😎
I just picked up the first 4 albums by Beggar's Opera. The first album was just ok but the other 3 were great. They did a cover of Macarthur's Park and rocked it up and the singer was phenomenal.
That first Slade album you showed was also released with the title "Keep Your Hands off My Power Supply" on cd here in the US.
Love evil dead their first two albums are amazing. They are worth purchasing.
Just had the Morrison project arrive 👍
Hello Brendon, Thank you as always for a great video. May you in the future list the cds, vinyl(s) (artist, band name, album title, maybe year of release, etc.) you are presenting in the description of your video? It's helpful to see, refer to what you will be presenting in video and back in future. With appreciation.
Wounded Bird re-reissued Yeah! and School Punks in the set?
Rockets! Finally they’re on CD! Funny thing: Dennis Robbins, their guitarist, later signed to Giant/Reprise Records as a solo Country artist.
Yes both are included in the set!
Joe Grushecky is from Pittsburgh PA. He has/had some kind of connection to Bruce Springsteen back in the late 80s/early 90s.
Yes, he is from the Burgh!
Great video as always. Did you know Gary and Jimmy from
New England went on to Alcatrazz with Graham Bonnet and Yngwie.
That's Steve Hunter CD is fantastic for me. I found for one dollar and bought only because is IRS.
That Vio-Lence cd is a score! I'm looking for that album and it's not cheap. Eternal Nightmare is a trash classic! Congrats getting your holy grail. I have one coming tomorrow. No Trend: Dozen Dead Roses. Got a good deal but most I have ever paid for an album. Some cool punk reissues are coming and I need to pick those. This sickness... lol. Cheers from Finland!
You have the best channel Brendon!!! Kudos!!!!!
Evildead guitarist Juan Garcia is in Agent Steel & Body Count was in Abattoir.
…and DRI 👍
Joe and house rockers from my area Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
My hometown too!
Joe Is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Cool stuff, Brendon. 😃👍. I am so glad you got that Crue album. It belongs with you for sure! 💯. I did a tiny bit of junk hunting over the holiday weekend. Picked up a few gorgeous things that I collect along with three (3) neat CDs: Sugar File Under: Easy Listening, Mozart on the Menu: a delightful little dinner music (one CD in a cute little series of CDs put out by Philips in the mid-1990s), and Richard Strauss Ein Heldenleben Zubin Mehta New York Philharmonic (CBS Masterworks). The CDs were a $1.00 or less. I could not leave them behind. I cleaned them up and they glow in their new home. Classical CDs are the best value around, but few seem to want them. It is a sad state of affairs to me. I just received a brand new copy of Galactic Cowboys Let It Go and a sealed cassette of The Three O'Clock Arrive Without Traveling from Discogs. Rock Always! - Heather
I'm interested to know how to clean CDs because I recently bought a bunch. I've never tried to clean a cd.
😎👍
Discogs is your friend Brendon
Great haul. Did the Motley Crue record just come out on vinyl? Not a huge MC fan but would be willing to buy it if available on CD.
My purchases for the last 7-10 days:
- Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: had it on vinyl and thought i had upgraded to the CD version but, shockingly, I hadn't. So, picked up a copy a few days ago.
- Have been getting into Ivanhoe, a German prog metql. And that went back to the 90s. I picked up a few of their releases, Lifeline, Polarized, and Symbols of Time.
Look for the compilation boxset " music to crash your car to volume 1" it's all on there along with shout, theatre and girls plus bonus tracks
Paradox is a German, THRASH band. If you can, pick up "Heresy II End of a Legend" killer.
Hey there! Do you have an email I can reach out in regards to selling some CDs/records? Lots of death/grunge/thrash metal. I’m in South Jersey - thanks!
You can reach out to me via Facebook and send me some picks of the Trash, but I’m not into Death Metal. As far as Thrash it would have to be old school 80’s thrash and not from major bands because I have all of that. You may want to reach out to Sound Exchange in Wayne, NJ to sell them.
Lost on SF thrash bands? Well, how about Metallica (who began in L.A.,) Megadeth, Exodus and Flotsam & Jetsam?
Yes I like them as well as I’m sure you’re well aware having watched this channel for a long time you know I’ve talked about each of those bands plenty. 👍
@@BrendonSnyder Wasn't trying to be smart, Brendon. You said SF thrash, and it seemed as if your mind kind of drew a blank in the video. That's why I mentioned those iconic bands from the bay area. And Metallica and Exodus top the list. DRI (who originated in Houston) is another one of those iconic SF thrash metal bands. Megadeth is from L.A. and not SF. I said they were from SF. And I was wrong, although Dave Mustaine was originally in Metallica. I also incorrectly said Flotsam was from SF, but they're from Phoenix, AZ. I thought they were a bay area band because that's what Jason Newsted's band was before joining Metallica. Again, my bad. I'll admit it that I'm not perfect.
what is a holy grail alubm or record?
Anything made by Led Zeppelin!
