Feels like the 80's using a Hopper. To stop the battery door coming off, just put a servo horn under one on the screws to act like a latch. Mine never comes off and it was a free fix 👍🏼

I’ve never owned a Grasshopper but I’m going to do a surprise build for my friend and his daughter with a companion Comical Grasshopper for her. They both have never owned a hobby grade RC car so I know the GH will be perfect.
Still waiting for my Grasshopper II Black Edition to be delivered. I pre-ordered it back in February and the release date has been gradually moving backwards but hopefully it will finally arrive next week.

@poorboysrc i bought this kit without the esc, planning on decorating the gameroom with this retro style. But my daughter really wants to run it. I may end up buying a second one..
@poorboysrc the cheapest I've found one with no esc kit is 120$ cdn plus 21$ shipping and tax. That's from zoomroom. Have you found a better source for tamiya cars? I know overseas places like rcjaz are cheap, but shipping is outrageous ..

Absolutely! You'll need an 18 tooth pinion gear to make it work.
