I had a Nikko 1/16 scale turbo panther frame buggy as my gateway into the hobby way back in 1985..... I loved that car to bits (quite literally!) It eventually met a watery grave whilst trying to jump a stream in the woods. But, it was later followed by my first hobby grade..... My Midnight Pumpkin, which I still own to this day!! I've recently picked up another identical Nikko turbo panther to restore, purely for nostalgia. But these modern mini models have come a long, long way since the Nikkos, seeing yours in action at the skate park has made me put one on my Christmas list this year! Unfortunately, I don't think that I have been good enough this year for a visit from Santa...... but there's always the Christmas poo to rely on, I'm sure Mr Hanky won't disappoint!! 💩 😅 👍 👍 👍
Funny how our RC youth was so similar. I had that same Nikko Turbo Panther Frame Buggy, and it, too lost its life after a puddle in the road incident. 🤣🤣🤣
@@poorboysrc No way!!!!! 🤭 And yours drowned as well? Was it a red one?......will never forget loading all those AA batteries into the under chassis! 😂 Maybe they are both friends in drowned rc buggy heaven?!! 😂 Wasn't your first hobby grade the midnight pumpkin as well mate? What can I say, great minds think alike! I hope to get the one I'm currently restoring around our figure of eight time trials track some time over the winter..... should be funny! All the best buddy. 😊 👍 👍 👍
I watch Kevin when i wanna see something launch and possibly break. What he does is all for the "wow" factor, and it's rarely anything realistic that someone else is gonna want to do. I like watching his videos, I don't love them tho. Poor Boys RC is based in reality, my reality. I can comment here and you actually say something back! Like hey, he IS a real person, and this stuff IS doable! 😅😅 It's awesome you're doing a free raffle for that Losi! I won't be entering it tho, cause I already have a Micro B, let someone else win it, cause it ain't no fun if the homies can't have none!
I am real! And I love getting back to as many messages as I can! And it was all good fun with the Talbot jokes. Hey, he's the top dog so everyone has an opinion on him. He's done an incredible job as an RC TH-camr, and I give him all the cred in the world for that! It's no easy task, what he's accomplished. I'll stick to the "real" stuff. To me, catching big air is still 3-4 feet, lol. Old skool Tamiya fear, I suppose. Lol! Thanks for watching! 😎👊🏼
Can’t wait to get one of these micro buggies. Not a Traxxas fan either with their business practices, but someone gave me a Spartan SR and that thing is mental.
Yeah, it's really nice, this little buggy! I even watched a video where the guy compared it to a Kyosho Mini-Z, on same track, and the rwd outperformed the 4wd, which cost double the price, he he... It's a really cool little buggy, I hope someone gets really happy with the one from you, it's coll you decided to give it away.
Wow, it' out-performed a mini-Z? That's impressive. I don't doubt it though. The suspension and drivetrain are so well designed that it handles much better than you'd think.
Maybe I just have bad luck with them but Mini-Z are POS imo. I had a Mini-Z buggy and also Civic type R and both had issues if I had to take apart or wanted to replace/upgrade components. Total garbage and swore I wouldn't buy another Kyosho product. On the other hand I had a Mini T brushless and Mini-B that I upgraded to brushless. Loved them, much easier to work on, easy to drive and durable. Never had any major issues with them. I have limited experience with rc but wouldn't touch another mini z and high prices and hard to get parts for.
Hi Fil, I'm not surprised that you're stoked about that little Losi, it's a cool wee buggy and looks like a hoot to drive. I'm in the same boat as you, wasn't keen on trying these tiny RC's at first. But these things have come such a long way in recent years and now they rock! The raffle winner is going to be a happy so-and-so! Cheers! :D
It's incredible how tough/fast they are. The ratio doesn't make sense, lol. I mean, they're not "fast" fast, but they're quick enough to do decent jumps, and get the heart pumping a bit. Hopefully you'll win the raffle and be the first in the UK to get one. :)
@@poorboysrc totally agree mate. The brushed versions won't rip the tyres off but are fast enough to be fun and they do seem bulletproof! TBH that AmazingOne I tried did actually feel bloody fast on the rough though! Fingers crossed, i just entered your raffle! 🤞😁👍
haven't crossed the traxxas line yet, huh? Me neither... But, with that traxxas mini maxx coming out, I'd love to see you get one and put your thoughts out! I'm planning on picking up a pair to cross the line and bash with my homey this holiday season. Great Losi rig, definitely considering one of these now, too!! Excellent video!!
Thanks, dude! I'm just poking a little fun, as Kev's the big fish in the pond. I'm competitive when it comes to work, and I have a goal of making this channel one of the top tier RC TH-cam channels. Thanks for the excellent feedback! 👊🏼🍻
I almost bought one a few weeks ago, but I ended up picking up the Mini-Z instead because there is a shop close that does various Mini-Z racing including buggies.
Temus not all that bad I order from there all the time a lot of my shorts and shirts have come from Temu specially my crazy nice button up shirts I have one with Dk and bananas all over it and one with the shishire cat from Alice in wonder land and I love them.
just subscribed great review i love this little losi ..i have arrmas and losis that are 10 times the price of this..... but wow this is soo much fun! good job losi!
They do look cool but if it can drive in the grass then it is not usually something I am going to enjoy a lot. For folks going to an indoor track of paved driveway I can see it being a lot of fun but I had to pass on it. I hate having to drive somewhere to go play with them.
@@poorboysrc they track is not as smooth as you think. It tossed the Mini-B all over the place!! I could not even get a run video of it when I tried that one. They do look awesome on a carpet track though. Very nimble and quick!
Hi Fil how about the Carisma GT24TR or Carisma GT24B both brushless 1/24 scale look like great fun too and good price. one is a buggy the other is a truggy both 4WD!
I'm thinking of getting one, just not sure which. I've got a few projects on the go that I need to finish up, then we'll see if we can get some Mini-Z action going!
Don’t do the traxxas thing bro…. The design guys are good but the suit and tie guys 👎. Or you could wait until they sued some smaller company out of business because they’re assholes….
I'm at a serious crossroad. I need to keep growing the channel and appealing to a wider audience is a great way to do that. Ah, what to do, what to do???
@@poorboysrcjust do it… not like every other large company isn’t doing extremely shady shit. Child labor involved with all things tech, why draw the line at traxxas being litigious
That certainly looks like a fantastic little car. That should be under many Christmas trees this year. I also think losi need to sponsor you. @LosiRacing @losiracing

Can't deny Traxxas' stuff, they make great RC's. You're gonna love your micro-B.
The coolest looking RC car coming out is the 1/10 Agama N110.
