I have one of Erin’s dogs from Doodles of NC and he is so patient when I clip his nails. I can also touch his cute feet when I’m petting him and he doesn’t mind. Erin does such a good job getting these sweet puppies ready for their families. I also loved the personality sheet she sends before puppy picking. It helped us decide which one we was the best for our family. And oh my goodness Erin is just as kind and sweet in person as she is in her videos. I just had to comment and show my gratitude because I’m so thankful we have one of her precious goldendoodles ❤️
That's awesome, Erin and JP. I've been super busy so sitting down for YT videos these days can be a bit of a challenge, but I really enjoyed this. The really cool thing about good breeders is there are so many approaches that are equally good and works for different people, depending on their philosophy, comfort level, experiences, and what they want/need. One thing I always tell people who want a dog is to not only think about what kind of dog they are needing/want and how that dog will fit into their lives but also where said dog will come from. If going the breeder route, it's worth it to do one's homework, make a connection with said breeder and then wait for the right pup, however that happens. In our breeding program, we do not have families puppy pick from an entire litter because our dogs' temperaments and personalities are so varied that at this point, we don't feel that that approach works for us. We instead get to know each family and match them to their puppy based on a number of factors with temperament and energy level being our top priorities. This does mean we get a lot of people who lose interest but the families who take the time to understand why we do things the way we do really appreciate our effort. I do think that your approach definitely has its place, especially since you also provide guidance in the picking process for each family. Both approaches take work, but I think it's work that's well worth it in the long term... over simply picking purely based on looks and way before the dogs have developed. I also think it's fabulous that you are doing what you can to bring healthy, well-socialized Golden Doodles into the world. I would love to converse with you one day and if a Doodle were to be part of my life, I'd love it to be from your program. When bred correctly, they can combine some of the best traits of both breeds for different needs including various types of service work, therapy etc. Butt sniffs and tail wags from our ratties to your Golden Doodles!
I’ve been watching your videos and I bought the tray off your website and I’m so excited to try it with my new Rhodesian ridgeback puppy. It was exactly what I was looking for and what I need for the apartment! Thank you for making the quality product I envisioned in my brain!!!
Hi Erin - we know already we want to get one of your future beautiful red F1B mini girls … nothing else - would we need to go over the process of puppy picking?
Everyone knows ahead of time what spot they are to choose. So someone who is the third boy pick knows the first two families get their top choices. But the amazing thing is so many people are looking for different things that a lot of times everyone gets their top choice!

I also have one from her too, but he hates nail clipping. He is overly dramatic. We are desensitizing him to it though.
I am so glad!!
Norma!! I can’t believe it!!

You guys are the best for doing these videos! They keep me engaged and coming back for more.
You’re so kind!!!!
Fireworks desensitization is helpful. My pup is great but falls apart w/fireworks.
Great work with your pups.
We're always working on getting them used to all sorts of things! Thanks for the kind words!
I’m going to be getting my puppy at 6 weeks is that ok? And what do I need to do special? I love you channel!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I prefer to keep all dogs until 8 weeks or very close to it. at 6 weeks sometimes they can still be not eating solid hard kibble. So monitor that!

You do great videos :) What brand of yak cheese do you recommend and how often should it be given to a dog? I have a Cavachon.
Ecokind from amazon
How does it work out that each family picks their own....what do you do if multiple families want the same puppy? Seems stressful?

@@DoodlesofNC Thank you!
