- Starting with a shot of Crewe Heritage Centre residents, 37108 and 87035, before 2 immacutalely painted class 37's leave the station for Chester.
LSL's , D6817 and D6851 were on the first of two test runs to Chester and back and are seen returning a couple of hours later.

This was the way they looked when brand new. Still the best livery ( and numbering) they ever carried. I was twelve years old again watching this. Thank you.
Yes the best livery David, and definitely the best and easiest numbering.. Oh to be 12 again, about the same age as me? Not 12 now lol.
Very nice Phil good to see the 2x37s together cheers Steve ..
Thanks Steve. They did look and sound good!
Nice catch, Phil.
Superb paint job. You could almost smell the new paint!
LSL really do look after their locos.
Thanks Darren. They certainly do.
WOW absolutely fantastic 😄 It reminds me of my early train spotting days in the 70s 🤣 Thanks for posting this video of two fine examples of class 37s 👍🏻
Thanks Stevie, my pleasure. Same as me, early 70's was when my train spotting days began. 😊
great clip! thanks for your upload!
Many thanks, my pleasure
Particularly smoke free too, well almost. Looks like they're in great shape.
Great vid, thanks.
Thanks, my pleasure.
In the mid 60s the Type 3 EE was as rare as hen's teeth on the WCML and Crewe. However one was guaranteed at Manchester Piccadilly, 1320hrs , arriving with the Harwich Boat train. The green was (it seems to me) a touch lighter then. The engine growl is unmistakable.
Thanks for that, interesting. Yes you know when there's one about.
Two beautiful locos.
They look beautiful together in the sun. Great flange squeal.
Thanks Philip. They certainly did! I still prefer the early green, or blue, liveries from BR days. It's how I remember them. There's a lot of squealing goes on around there as the tracks curve out of the station.
Great video thanks looks like they have just come out of the paint shop, a good paint job
Thanks Brian. Yes, and a great job done.
Awesome. Nice to see reliable locos out and about.
Thanks Mark, at a good age too?
Lovely video Phil I saw the roofs of them at Beeston yesterday. 😣
Thanks Rick.
Fantastic Liveries
37s as they should be...green and original !!
Fine looking video
Thanks James
Excellent Phil great vid 👍👍
Many thanks.
Excellent video
Thanks Barrie
Great filming there Phil from the cage viewpoint again, I'd take a 37 over any modern diesel anyday!👍👍👍
Thanks David. Yes, so would I.!
That’s a lot of clag excellent capture mate
Thanks Tom
I didn't see any of any note, cleanest diesels for a long time.
Nice catch mate
Thanks Phil
Good spy hole you got in the mesh there Phil 👍😁
Just right for the job ying. 😊
what a great treat.. smashing
Thanks Keith. I was hoping for the one 37, but two!!
They looked fresh out the paint shop
They were.
Nice and shiny - fresh from the paint-shop?
As far as I know, yes.
Doesn't that livery look good on them? Way better than some of the current horrors splattered on otherwise majestic locomotives! Interesting video, thanks for posting.
Thanks, my pleasure.
Great video 👍👍 Rory
Thanks Rory
@@philclarke3203 your more than welcome to see 2 green 37s they looked fantastic 👍 Rory
Bit of a catch, that! Well done.
Thanks Alan. Yes this pair, followed out 10 minutes later by Royal Scot! Well worth it.
Nice and good sound :)
Thanks Simon
Things of beauty, should be more of it.
I agree completely!
Not Euro 6 compliant by the looks
Don't like the green livery, large logo BR livery is the best on a class 37
Smoky diesels, not good for the enviroment !
