Tip for dealing with mom guilt, ask yourself this question: “does my child seem happy?” I bet that most parents would say that, yes their child seems happy, and that means you’re doing a great job. It has helped me a lot. Be kind to yourself and always remember that YOU know your child the best.
I think daycare is awesome! I don't have kids but when I would pick up nephew up from daycare it was so fun to see all the little interactions and learning and sweet connections between him and the teachers and kids. He learned all kinds of cool things like yoga breathing, te reo Maori, and how to make pals with his peers.

I sent my boy to day care a couple of days, not just so I could have a break and get some jobs done, but also so he could have some interaction with his own age group and learn about other kids before starting in reception at school. It's important for both of you. Also, the music thing... The number of times I realised I was listening to Phineas & Ferb when he wasn't even in the car 😂 ....🤦🏾♀️ You are doing a good job! My boy is 17 next month 🤯 It flies by!
My son turns 2 in about a month, so he’s just a couple of months older than Porter. And he has just started to want to cuddle a little. I also think that it highly depends on their personality and also might be a sign that your child feels comfortable and doesn’t need to seek comfort to feel safe (not saying that all cuddly children doesn’t feel safe).

We had 3 kids go thru day care and they loved it . When it comes to going to school, the juggle is real, when balancing work. Especially with all the school holidays! 😅

Coffee grind fast tip: oily beans (eg; organic or Brazilian are often pretty oily or greasy - can tell by the residue they leave on surfaces sometimes) need to be made slightly more course in ground because they pack down quick tightly and stick together making it harder for water to be pushed through. Less oily beans you can have ground alot finer. The tighter that beans are packed down the less space they've got for water to drip through and the more pressure the water needs to get through (think of it like pouring water through pebbles) . This can be seen when you see that the coffee drips out suuuuper slow like one drip at a time. If you're grind is too coarse the water will slip through really fast all at once (think of water running through large rocks instead of pebbles) . Ideally you want your coffee to take between 23-30 seconds to come out. Longer than that = grind is too fine. Shorter = grind is too course. Hope this helps!! 🥰

I've never had much desire to be a mom, and anytime I tell people its because I like to sleep, they look at me like I'm crazy. Sleep has such a huge impact on my mood and my ability to regulate my emotions, and I don't know if I would have the patience 😂
I was sssoo scared of that part too. I slept so little because of work so I knew how it felt. But fortunately my daughter sleeps all night since she was 4 months old. But for working ladies it IS difficult. You don't magically get superpowers. That's a lie! Gotta have an understanding partner and family support! .

It's warm, sunny, and you can do more things (vs just staying indoors). Fall is good for all the holidays.

My mom was a stay at home mom through my entire childhood, we never had baby sitters or werent with her. I commend her and am so greatful but i think it would have been great for me to socialize earlier (always been introverted with social anxiety) and we were my moms life, which again so blessed such an honor, but i never got to see her chase any dreams or anything outside of us kids. I think its a great healthy balance for social skills and alsk to see you as not just mom but also as a company owner and entrepreneur etc etc. I think from what weve seen youve been doing such a great job and porter is such a lucky babe. Also im 28 no kids and i cannot do no sleep i need like 10-12 hours a night or i feel like im gunna die lol, i feel like that would be my biggest struggle similar to you. I think exhaustion wise too with two it often evens out as they have somebody to play with and can entertain each other. For now tho i be loving auntie life 😜

I’m self employed too and have 2 kids, one is 6 and goes to school but the other is 1. It is soooooo hard to try to work when you have your kids at home. They always need something and there’s constant interruptions. It gets so frustrating! We never sent them to daycare, but we looked into it. I totally get why you have Porter go to daycare!! It’s a lot to try to balance both!!

i just placed an ulta order and got the halo glow to try for the first time😆 i feel like i'm the last person on earth to try it lolllll i've never tried the ff, so its kinda my first time trying something like that. i saw someone who was fair skinned say shade 1 was too dark for them, so when they released even lighter shades, i was sooo stoked!!! i think mine is shade 0.5 (i'm ultra pale lol), so hopefully its not too dark😅 i also ordered the halo glow loose setting powder (ljght pink vers😉), the new hydrating camo cc cream, their halo glow contour wand, and the lash n roll mascara! theres a couple other items from other brands i ordered too, but its basically an elf haul😂😂😂
I have my son with me one day during the week and I work from home on that day but man it is hard. I’m only half focused on work and half focused on him and at the end of the day I feel guilty for not having worked hard enough and for not having spent enough time with my son 😖 and it’s just one day. I might be wrong, but I think when a toddler isn't clingy/v. cuddley, it can be a good sign they have a very secure attachment and don't need that comfort and reassurance as often as insecure children. Toddlers should be confident to leave caregivers side to explore, knowing caregiver is nearby and there for them when they need them. 💜

Girl. We tried doing IVF mid last year. And it didn't work, so we decided no more kids. Like 100% no more. Just our 2.5 year old. Found out at Christmas I was pregnant (and I was back on BC) lol. It took ALONG time to come around to it. 😊😂

I was 18 when my brother was born 😅 I enjoyed it as I felt like I was a big kid and loved being a big sister still do. But sometimes pepole would think I was his mum 😂 but I'm not lol. So yeah have them close together is allways good. 😊

Oh my God I am with you on the 2nd child thing. My son is 6, he can do a lot of things on his own now. Having another would disrupt a perfect routine, I don't know how I could manage with 2! I mean I know I would -duh, moms are badasses - but yeah. No.

A good daycare is valuable! I remember my daycare days and how much fun it was. Kids learn so many social skills that they can take into school later.

I might be wrong, but I think when a toddler isn't clingy/v. cuddley, it can be a good sign they have a very secure attachment and don't need that comfort and reassurance as often as insecure children. Toddlers should be confident to leave caregivers side to explore, knowing caregiver is nearby and there for them when they need them. 💜

Girl. We tried doing IVF mid last year. And it didn't work, so we decided no more kids. Like 100% no more. Just our 2.5 year old. Found out at Christmas I was pregnant (and I was back on BC) lol. It took ALONG time to come around to it. 😊😂
I love being parent am older know and I see a lot of my younger co workers having babies and I get so attached to them cause my babies are older know and I just look at old photos and videos when they were young and be like dang where has the time gone ughh 😢

Girl .. mom to mom you don’t have to explain to strangers why you put your child in daycare. That is absolutely your choice. And , if you didn’t work from home he would be in daycare. It’s good for your kid to have a break from you so he can function around other humans . It’s natural and takes a village! You’re doing great 🤍

I was 18 when my brother was born 😅 I enjoyed it as I felt like I was a big kid and loved being a big sister still do. But sometimes pepole would think I was his mum 😂 but I'm not lol. So yeah have them close together is allways good. 😊

Oh my God I am with you on the 2nd child thing. My son is 6, he can do a lot of things on his own now. Having another would disrupt a perfect routine, I don't know how I could manage with 2! I mean I know I would -duh, moms are badasses - but yeah. No.
I'm pregnant with my first and I already know I'm done 😂😂 honestly never wanted children at all but it happened and although I'm excited about my baby now, the pregnancy journey has been too much and I hate it.
