There are always mothers who do not want to be left alone. Trish is Andre's mother, not his wife. He should file a restraining order.
People always say "family doesn't always required by blood, it requires by love." and "family is more than just blood, it's also love."
Trish could have had herself a chance of getting along with her son's wife instead of feeling like she was in a competition against her daughter-in-law.
and if the child is not his, then there is no love. Someone willing to cheat on you doesn't love you.
This is different when it's step kids or adopted kids, because you knew what you were getting into and signed up for it, but someone cheating means you're in a loveless relationship

If my mother ever tried destroying my family the way Andre's mother did, I'd put a restraining order on her that's so severe that we'd have to live in different states. And I know that sounds terrible, but wanting to ruin your own child's happiness for your own selfish reasons is worse.
And adults like this wonder why we cut all ties.

This dilemma could have been avoided if only the son took a stand against his controlling mother.
She represents the type of mother in law you don't want to model when your children marry.
Could have been avoided if he got a paternity test BEFORE signing the birth certificate.
Birth certificate is a contract, even if it ends up not being yours, you're still on the hook for 18 years. I'd never sign one under any circumstance w/o a DNA test first. (Goes double for me since I've had a vasectomy and statistically only less than 1% of people who have had one has had their vas deferens heal)

I am glad that Megan had found it in her heart to forgive Andre and give him a second chance in the end, after he had finally realized that his mom, Trish, was so evil. Andre and Megan (and Tyler) deserved better than having to deal with a toxic relationship with that despicable mother. Trish does not deserve a second chance if she were to ever make amends one day.

No, she’s just bitter because her husband probably left her alone with her son, and now she’s projecting her insecurity and anger onto her son.
You’d be surprised how many mothers can be like this; especially the ones who were abandoned by their husbands. And some just don’t want to let go of their sons.
