After you clean that big pan I'd love to have that we bought one in the late 90s it has lost its handle and we have bought pots and pans since we will throw ours away and go dig it out of the trash it's called old reliable and the kids are fighting over it if we die. It's nonstick and it's the best skillet we have never managed to find a better one in 30 years lol

We switched up our spending habits June '22. Since then, we have been buying meat in quantity at good to excellent prices when we find it on sale or come across it. We fill our tiny chest freezer and generally don't replentish until after eating down then defrosting it. By the time the freezer is defrosted, we have a fair amount of meat restocking money so we can buy in quantity when we come across a good price while keeping our eyes open. Hamburger has been a treat food for us for some time. - This is how we've been able to ample meat.
I got Scotch tape years ago at Target for 90% off after Christmas and I gave it away here and there and now mine is almost gone also. Such a nice practical buy!! I had some people wonder why I would buy so much tape, but why not -- so many uses!

Last week I found an end cap full of granola bars, boxes of pop tart bites and s'more bars for $.94, yes I know sugar, but 7 kids and busy with sports I keep them in my van for after games, cheaper then stopping for snacks. Then I found 2kg of powdered juices for $1.94! I stocked up for church and stock pile, good when we are sick or emergencies, hosting, lake this summer. They are regular $15 (Canada) the funny this is people just walk by these sales and don't even look. I don't get it, so I don't feel bad stocking up, no one is paying attention to clearance!

Tara Look up that maker of that serving plate on the internet. I think it's the same stamp as mine on a old plater I have from early 1900's and worth a good bit.

Use Barkeep's Friend on the bottom of the pan, it works great. I got an awesome BIG steamer/wok stainless steel pan for 5.00, need to be cleaned inside and out like that. Soaked the inside for quite awhile, but between Bar Keepers friend and an SOS pad, and my metal scrubber, it looks great, inside and out.
Clean your smaller pan by spreading KETCHUP on the copper bottom only. Let it sit a few minutes, use a metal scrubber, rinse off ketchup snd clean pan as usual.

When I was working, I figured how much of my hourly would be taxes (1/3 of your hourly here in Portland, Oregon) i.e. $15.00 hr less 1/3 of that taxes is $5.00 so take home was $10.00 an hr & then when buying something figure how many hours you had to work to purchase that item. Makes it so you put a lot of things back on the shelf instead into my cart.
Tawra, have you ever been able to take a bottom round or eye of round roast and cook it so that the meat can be sliced for roast beef sandwiches? Every time I try to make a nice roast for slicing for sandwiches ... so i wait for the deals at the deli and let them slice it but it always looks medium rare and if we warm those up they are tough! so. do you have a solution to making a roast into sliced roast beef for sandwiches and philly steak?
Insight on a managerial job, if the workers don't do the moving when asked, the manager, a salaried person, does not work by the hour, can and should do the work! Why do i say this, i say this because i know a manager of several stores throughout the last 25 years and this is what they do! They do the work that is necessary even if they are the boss. the "i don't know why they haven't moved it " is a cop out!
Wow, we're getting ripped off, our Wal-Mart Never drops their prices that low after Christmas, or anytime. Our last flyers were all flops, no sales, that were really sales. on anything this time This is in Alberta Canada though.
I live in Alberta as well and you're right. We don't see 90% off here. This year after Christmas clearance sales were the worst. However, I did luck out today when I went, so maybe you can as well. They had the Method Christmas hand soaps for 70% off, but for whatever reason one of them was discounted to 84 cents. They had an area in the personal care section of items marked to 75% off. Various items. There is clearance in the rest of the personal care area. All aisles. The prices are electronic now so its difficult to look. I only bought what I needed. 1 litre Live Clean hand soap refill for $4. That's half price. Also got a Dove shampoo and conditioner for half price. Lots of women's clothing is 70% off. I got a $36 shacket for my daughter for $10, and $24 two piece flannel pj's for $9. That's as good as its going to get here. They just marked the items down in my store so maybe you'll have some luck if you need stuff.
I don't buy foods when they're above my price point. Haven't seen any beef for under $5/ lb in a LONG time, so we just haven't had beef since we ran out of beef in our freezer. It's that simple. I don't understand why people can't grasp that concept.

But now I would probably take a photo, first. And I will let them know I will be happy to pass that photo to corporate if they won't honor it. OH, they will grumble and act like they are doing you a favor, and that you are a Karen, but they are being dishonest, and hoping they can get away with it.
