- FMVSS 214 MDB Side Impact performed to assess the WorldSID-50M and 5F Anthropomorphic Test Dummy. Uses the baseline 48/24 crabbed side impact part of FMVSS 214MDB (53.5 Km/h). This revised test procedure features a WorldSID dummy in both positions.
"The purpose of this test was to evaluate the repeatability, reproducibility, and durability of the WorldSID 50th percentile male ATD (WorldSID-50M) equipped with RibEye™, to determine whether the dummy is a viable option to replace the EuroSID-2 dummy with rib extension modifiers (ES-2re) in future side impact moving deformable barrier crash tests conducted by NHTSA."
A FMVSS 214 MDB Right-Side Side Crash Test performed at 53.5 Km/h (33 Mph) on a 2020 Mini Cooper Convertible.
