Yeah. I almost didn't see it because I was way too old (or so every teen thinks) to be watching Mickey Mouse, but my mom bought it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't awful. In fact, I think I watched it couple more times!
It was mainly about these characters overcoming their flaws, with a little help from the fourth wall.

I find it interesting how the Musketeer's friendship is not only very believable but also shows how each has something that the other doesn't have.
Mickey is the bravest and galvanizes the group, he incentive them to go above and beyond, his courage is what gives him such a sense of justice, but he is small and not very strong, being outclassed by bigger foes.
Goofy is big and the only one who can put up a fight against physically stronger foes due to his size, but he is dumb as a rock.
Donald is arguably the smartest of the group as he is the only one who actually has a sense of self-preservation and knows when the situation is too dangerous to take on, he can understand situations and stakes better than his friends, but this "self-awareness" also makes him a coward.
As Pete said, Mickey is too small, Goofy is too dumb and Donald is a coward, theses are all flaws that hamper their status as Musketeer but they manage to overcome them as a team, together they have each other backs and cover their friend's weaknesses.
“Donald, I can’t understand a word ya say.” is the most accurate summation of Donald Duck I have ever heard
I know people say Donald fought in WWII so he should be brave, but remember that technically the 3 musketeers takes place hundreds of years before any World War.
