The Rune program cost 225 million. It was reported that each bike cost around 100K. They wrote it off as an advertising expense but those bikes are works of art.
Wow. I remember these coming out new and seeing ads for them, then never saw one on the road. Never knew so little were produced. *more of a car enthusiast
There’s always one that seems to be on the market. So one of these days I’m gonna find one. Two actually. The red one and the black one. I’m sure my girl would love it in Black
Kaplan, Thought how my comment may have been taken. I know you bought it that way, so hope you were not offended. I have 2004 and I am stickler or keeping bike & Cars OEM. All i ever added is a K&N air filter to any of my vehicles.
What a cool bike man. I remember when they came out. I was working for a Honda dealership in Colorado springs called Apex sports. Another guy and I had to assembly it from the crate when it came in. Then we promptly handed it over to the owner and he took it to a warehouse. I'd bet it's still there collecting dust. Wow. I just thought of that sir..... U should call them. They have a giant warehouse full of old bikes. Even u wouldn't believe what they have... U have the name, just don't forget my finder's fee.LOL
You read my mind. I loved the first video, but later I got to thinking I wish he had gone over the bike and showed the technical parts of it more, and now you did..thanks Now why in the world would you sell this? That bike was made for you! Ride the damn thing like its supposed to be done, last thing we need is more garage decorations. You know you'll regret it later.
I like the head lights, they're not original. Someone looking for it as a collector may want the original, its extremely unique. What's interesting about the Rune, is that Honda made a concept Bike that got so much attention and press worldwide that they decided to build it. The problem was, they had to build the bike to actually function! The concept bike was one of a kind , radical design not meant for mass production. Its a crazy story worth reading. A nice solo riding bike not really meant for a pillion, and touring seats, windshields, saddlebags look horrendous on it.
For those who are actually trying to learn about the bike, I will remind you, a 6.1 (I think it 6.3 gal) fuel tank that this has, will not take you several hundreds of miles before empty, And the suspension, is the coolest (front) but is not "very smooth"..taller people might want more leg room, and the stiff (rear mostly). My 2004 Rune is 1 of 3 big road bikes I have, the Rune rides better than my 2010 Triumph Thunderbird but does not ride nor handle better than my 2014 yamaha Stratoliner.
love yourchannol and hope to travel to your museum wanted to ask you to do a segment on helmet com. devices and cameras best to worst cheapest to most expensive .Still looking for 72 suzuki 125 in your collection great bike for kids my buddy had a bridge stone 60 you have 1 of those it looked in excellent cond.
Mr America 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 I have a question. If it's 1 of 1500 it sounds like a very worthy bike for your museum. Just my opinion watching video's I'm starting to understand you have to sell bike's to keep buisness going but this 1?? It should stay...

Amazingly beautiful bike..I've never heard of them before, and had no idea that Honda made them.

I had a chance to ride one when they first came out. Definitely a unique bike.
Definitely a bike you can ride across galaxies, if you wanted to.
You could probably ride it through the black hole
Put the oem headlight back on
The original headlamp was very unique and nice looking... why swap it out?
To replace that headlight back to original cost $3000
Nice bike. Must be so comfortable cruising on it.
Beautiful bike
Finally a bike big enough for sr
What an awesome channel.. gotta ride out to visit your dealership one day. Cheers from 🇨🇦
Simply a "beautiful bike"!!!!

I'm fairly certain that bike was sold several years ago and is now in Denver. Currently for sale to I believe.

Curious why the bikes are chained in the show room
They are mine and Jr will take them out when I'm not there! He took my 500 mile 2017 Dyna S out with 9 miles on the 117 kit I was beyond pissed!!
Jr protection kit
@@KaplanCycles omg that is too funny!
I bet he had fun.. :) We've all been there on pops machine.. Hahaha JR!!!!! He's a good kid!! 😁
Maybe you need to chain Jr. to floor when you're put. Lol. Love your vids.
you better put original light in front

Wow way to ruin an amazing bike with that stupid headlight.
