There are other great victories that had been achieved by Indian kings against the Arab invaders around the same time. It should had been possible at that time for Indian rulers to forge a combined Army and Navy and go for the jugular to end the menace once for all.

Lalitaditya's conquests is not only mentioned in 'Rajtarangini' but in foreign sources too. His conquest of Central Asia is mentioned in Persian Souce - 'Tarikh-i-Hind ' and his Victory over Tibetans is mentioned in ancient Chinese Source - ' The history of Tang dynasty' .

Just read the chapter on Lalitaditya from Vikram Sampath's book. He did not conquer all of India. He conquered Kanauj and central India and Tokharistan and the Tibetans.
