Hi Nigel, if I was using a Vokey, I’d probably go a 56 with 10 degrees of bounce in S Grind. S grind is good for adjusting the lofts. I think the hardest test would be the flop shot with this club.
With that in mind, I’d never use just 1 club to do this test if I wanted the best result.
Also I know you like your limited editions, SM8 has a jet black version. Should check them out.

I’ve read the book. Another game he has is miss them all. He gets his pro’s to miss all GiR they can still shoot low 70s. I’m a 2 handicapper I tried it once just managed to break 90. I guess that proves I’m still 12-15 shots worse than a pga tour pro.

The tests are not accurate. When you play golf, you have 1 shot with 1 ball. Most people given 10 balls will hit a bad first ball and the next 9 are good! Golf is that first ball! You need to find a way to have already hit and seen the results of a shot....before you have made it. That is what separates the great golfers. They have instant feel just be walking up to and assessing... that FIRST shot!
That handicap rating for his score is total BULLSHIT. His 50 yard shots do not equate to a 20 something handicap. A 20 probably would not have even hit the green. Waste of time
Different people play the game in different ways. Personally my short game is a high handicapper, but my long game makes up for it.
