Amazing. When I was solo travelling through Kerala, Kochi was one of the destination.

I ONLY TRAVELLED IN KOLKATA METRO IN INDIA, THE ELDEST ONE. ITS PATH ALMOST UNDERGROUNDED. BUT, I FEEL ITS SO PANORAMIC, TRAIN, STATIONS, EVEN THE STATIONS ROOF
Glad to see Hindi signboard in Kochi which is a tier 2 city. Something that Bangalore Metro Rail Cooperation should have paid attention to as Bangalore is a metropolitan city.

it's okay until someone imposes it and make a law about it. In kerala we've been following 3 language system in schools for decades and nobody had an issue about it until the new Central government started to move to make Hindi our national language. That will not happen.

Actually there's no need for a metro service in a tier 1 city kochi...the population is below 3 million....just for a infrastructure it's built...
@NIGHT WING Houston couldn't have a metro system underground bcuz of flooding every year. So they have modern trams and metro buses instead.
Kochi actual population is 6.2 lakhs .2 million is population of whole ernakulam district. But it’s great that a semi urban/village like kochi has got a metro. I feel it’s just an showoff purpose. Metro is not actually needed
"Semi urban/village like Kochi"!!! Are u serious??? And FYI, Ernakulam district had 3.28 million population and Kochi metro had a population of 2.12 million in 2011 census.

@NIGHT WING actually the population of Washington D.C.'s metropolitan area is 52.64 lakhs whereas kochi's metropolitan area is 33.65 lakhs and yet Washington D.C. metro length is 188 km whereas kochi metro length has only 24 km.
