    Keep coming back to your videos as I'm working on my build. Just wanted to say thanks again for all the detail! My van is turning out better than I could have hoped and there's no way I would have figured all this stuff without your tutorials.

    Matt, thanks for this great video, my van is moving along nicely with your videos. I have to ask though, what is the thickness of the sheet ply you use across the interior kit please? they seem to flex easily where required......

      We use 1/4 for all our walls.

    You've re-inspired us to use fabric. I'm really excited about that eucalyptus color, I think that's gonna be exactly what we've been wanting to avoid grey and match our white and walnut accents. Any advice on how much fabric you'd recommend for 2 backdoors on a medium roof 148, sliding door, driver side window panel and corners and upper walls (excluding the ceiling)? Basically, we don't want / need to do the ceiling and back window panels, or lower driver side panel, but are considering everything else. Thanks!

      I’d just measure it out. Sorry. Too much to estimate.

    Thanks for sharing these great ideas and processes. I'm curious...is there a reason you didn't do a wrap around on the bottom of that door panel, or even the whole door? It seems like it might look cleaner...

      The bulb seal presses against the metal of the door. You need bare metal to have a proper seal. You could fabric the door direct, but it would have a raw edge and that’ll lead to trouble.

    The body frame above the rear doors, and above the side doors or that matter, is it just fabric wrapped directly on the metal frame?

      @AVCRIG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s right. We have a few videos outlining how we wrap those areas and why.

    How would you suggest I make trim rings around windows like you do?

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There’s two ways we have done it. I used to heat and bend PVC trim boards from a big box store. It’s pretty hazardous thorough so best done outside. The alternative is to use EPS foam. We cut eps on our CNC, but it can be done with a jigsaw, it’s just not as clean.

    On the driver's side cargo door, the top of the panel and the door don't line up.

    The window cutout for the driver side rear door looks WAY uneven and misaligned. Preproduction? Hopefully that gets fixed.

      I think this might be an angle thing, but we’re taking a critical look! Thanks for the 👀

    How about rust issues??

    • @AVCRIG
      @AVCRIG  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rust from what? Interior moisture? You could always go with a stainless tapper if you’re concerned.
