Ahhh! Thanks! My people are from Nigeria; I was born in the 🇬🇧, but my husband is from there, and we live here on and off. I love Dominica and Dominicans; they're good people. And yes, they love SEWO❤
Thank you for you positive views on Dominica and welcome to my Island. In addition to the rain, it is like snow days in New York. As a child growing up in Dominica , on rainy days, we played in the rain. Same as snowing days in New York City. Much love🙏🙏🇩🇲🇩🇲🇩🇲💕💕
I love your videos and I appreciate you for the work that you’re doing in Dominica from a student from Nigeria to become an honorary citizen. I so honored by your honesty by you call Dominica your home I’m proud of you
Thank u for showing some of us Dominicans the things with which God has blessed us with. If u can embrace them we should hold them close to our hearts.
I love this video! Thanks for highlighting our country in a positive light 🇩🇲 The pet names are so true I didn’t even realize until you mentioned it for example “love” “hun” “sweets” “baby” “doudou” , so many more ❤😂
Thank you. Love your take on Dominica. No place is perfect but you cannot measure the sense of warmth and welcoming the average Dominican you encounter gives. The sense of peace and tranquility you experience cannot be measured. Unfortunately, Once you get ensnared in any politics, Dominica or elsewhere, there’s always a deep sense of disappointment among the opposition group and their followers. Keep up the good work Precious. Appreciate your positive outlook and exposure you bring to my beautiful island. ❤🙏🏾
Lmao @ rain cancels church but not sewo, that’s funny, but the Lord will understand 😊 This was a beautiful and well edited video. Thanks for sharing about our nature island!
very nice video. Dominicans 🇩🇲 are some of the most religious people in the world. Going to church is not the only way to demonstrate your beliefs. The cultural belief in community, karma, the brotherhood and charitable culture says A lot‼️🤲🏾‼️✌🏾❗️

Lovely video thank u for the love shown to our Lovely island except for the JERK CHICKEN part this jerk chicken is NOT DOMINICAN it's would be nice to share some more of our authentic DOMINICAN food
I grew up in the heart of Roseau CENTRAL near Graphics in the MIX on kings lane….yes I still slept when it had parties. Back then it had more sewos and more people participating on the road. 😅. Jouvert morning back then at least six lapo kabwit on road before the bands come over the bridge. It also had lots of block parties. So you are right here. I think you are not correct about church. Maybe it’s new age young generation but I always thought Dominicans were way too religious and to churchy. I grew up going church every Sunday, don’t forget Saturday choir and then maybe go church with my grandmother on the previous Friday. Even if it looks they don’t go to church they believe in god and doing good. See you notice how welcoming, kind and generous Dominicans are so they are godly. But god understand one life to live sewo never done! 😅😅😅😂
It’s very interesting to hear your perspective. I have a completely different experience with some of your points. Like people stopping to give you a ride - as you said, it is mostly men. That is because you are a woman. In my experience men will stop for women more as an opportunity to flirt and solicit for sex ( i have had many such experiences, including from bus drivers, and saved up for a vehicle to avoid these encounters). And I find absolutely no consideration for road safety for pedestrians and a general poor road safety with high incidents of accidents on poorly maintained roads. Also, most fresh food crop in Dominica is NOT organic and farmers abuse chemical fertilizers and there is no government enforcement and regulation on these matters. The grocery stores are also filled with horrible heavy preservative and additive foods and very little fresh produce (most of which are not organic). But this is a beautiful island and worth investing in - even if just to change some of the gross negatives that spoil the beauty of the island.
Thank you so much for recognizing that these are my pov and for sharing your view in a mindful way. I understand what you’re saying even though some of the men never even said a word to me till they dropped me while some will ask about my view of Dominica and that’s it with only a minority showing interest in me. Same for my friends. I appreciate you and your points are valid ❤️
You don’t address the criticisms we face here in Dominica-such as the lack of jobs. Foreigners may work without being paid, or they are paid very low wages. For example, on Monday, which was a public holiday, I went to Roseau to pick up some things for my home. Nobody would stop to give me a ride home, so I had to walk under the sun. This has happened countless times. Dominicans are not friendly, let alone welcoming.
I have lived in Dominica for way more years than you have and I have talked about the negative side of Dominica more than once on this channel because no place is perfect and no place can be for everyone. Even my recent video addressed this. I'm sorry for what you're experiencing.
Dominica has no jobs for nationals, even when qualified. FOREIGNERS are the ones getting jobs on Dominica and wages are sadly low and frankly and insult. This is a government issue nit the Dominucan people
Hello dear, I’m not here to leave negative comments, but I feel that, honestly, there is some bias in your content. I have lived in Dominica for three years now and am currently living here. I totally disagree with what you’re saying. It seems like you are creating this content to favor Dominica, which is fine, but degrading Nigeria is completely unacceptable. As far as I am concerned, Nigeria is better than Dominica.
Please, be honest with people because someone who is considering moving here might watch your video to help with their decision, wanting to know if they are on the right track or not. Many foreigners here are frustrated and may not achieve their dreams. People are experiencing depression and sadness.
I never degraded Nigeria. I have lived here way longer than you. No place is perfect and it's so obvious you are new here. Please watch my other videos before dropping this type of comment.

Dominica is not a perfect place and no place is. But you cannot negate what she's saying because of your experiences. It works for some people and it doesn't for others. People are free to accept her perspective and come see for themselves or not. Don't be like that@Ginika-f2y
I understand that you want to make money, but please don’t do it at the expense of others. My advice is that if you are looking for a place to make a living or to improve your life, please don’t come to Dominica. I beg you, in the name of God. Come for tourism-that’s fine-but if your goal is to work and make a living here, you may regret it.
Please watch my other videos before you come to a conclusion. I have given a balanced view about Dominica and why people should come and not come to Dominica. This video is about "Dominicans", not Dominica. Thanks for watching.
