Love this. One thing the children calling grown ups by their first names is not what was the norm in times past. We were taught as children growing up in Dominica to never call a grown up by their first name
I adopt cats in DA. Most people just call me "Cat" Tip: play practical jokes on the people. For example: if the cashier asks for $140.57, ask them if they will take $110? Try to negotiate. Quickly they know you are being ridiculous. And they laugh big and bold! I do these practical jokes almost non-stop. It's addicting because the people love it! And that encourages me. If I am not feeling well, the people make me feel so good. The fashion of Nigeria is amazing!!! Yes, import it here! I want to make a fashion statement. I'm originally from NYC. I think I need Nigerian fashion help to create a personal fashion image. Blessings.
No disrespect and I agree about the Nigerian weddings but Caribbean people also spend money on weddings. Some choose to have simple and or extravagant weddings and it’s all good. It’s a personal and financial decision.
@@Dzenn368 Which I understand but the average person from the Caribbean doesn’t do an extravagant or elaborate wedding. Even some Nigerians do simple weddings but the average Nigerian goes all out because their parents might not consent to a simple wedding. So this is more about what the average person from these places does.
Lots of Dominica students get scholarships or bursaries to study in the US. Lots of American universities especially in Texas have agreements with the Dominican Govt/Schools. 1:41
I don't know why it's is still called a commonwealth. Since it's one of the few countries in the Caribbean with total independence with their own head of state.

#6 IS NOT TOTALLY TRUE
Okay 👌🏾 Thanks for watching. I appreciate you ❤

Exactly. Many Dominicans study in the US, the UK , CUba and at UWI. And many remain overseas afterwards.
Number 6 is not entirely true...
