Philodendron in Water(Hydroponics)

Propagation of a plant in water without soil is called as " Hydroponics"
Many plants grow well in water without soil , eg.,Lucky Bamboo, Singonium etc.
Philodendron is a tropical plant and grow well in water.
There are 61 varieties of Philodendron and P.burle- marxi is a very popular plant. It has a wide , green thick leaves.
Use a wide mouth Glass vessel and cut a branch with leaves .
Within 1-2 week , white tender roots will appear.
Precautions:
1.Change water in Glass vessel fortnightly.
2. Wash the plant gently fortnightly and remove dead tissue.
3.Wash the Glass Vessel monthly with Sodium Bicarbonate.
4.Remove yellow, dropped leaves as and when appear.
5.Handle the roots in water gently as they are very fragile.
6.Use gloves and Scissor / Forceps to handle this plant as this Plant is a poisonous Plant .keep it beyond the reach of Pets and Toddlers.
Decorate the interior of House with this "Arti-craft" and make your "house" a "Home"
