Thanks for teaching me how to start a pantry and how to keep track of prices. I have $161 food stamps for a month. I'm on a fixed income so knowing how to shop helps me stick to this budget.
Thank you for all of the information you've shared through the years. These couple of years I've gotten my husband on board with creating an emergency kit & a food storage. We have a small food storage space right now, but we're freshening up a small bedroom (repainting, floors, etc.) & are going to move our storage into it. It's going to become our storage & food storage room. Yeah! I can't wait. We went shopping at the beginning of February & haven't needed to go back since. My husband just got paid & we only need to make a fill in haul. Feels great. I did a price comparison between our lowest store (Walmart) & Sam's. Sam's won. So we got most at Sam's. My husband was like what? I'd had to show him once or twice. With the research I've done in January & February we have saved oodles & we have meals that will go in through most of March. 😊 Again thanks for info. P.S. we're going to try your pesto chicken recipe.
Costco needs to sponsor your video! Yesterday, I was AT Costco to get gas but passed on going in because of the sea of cars and people. Your video is making me go back today to get some of your haul. Thanks, Kimmie!❤
Kimmie thank you as always. I love the gentle reminders to be proactive. There are times i become lazy, yet i love a good bargain and to know i feel like i helped to save. Your channel is amazing!
Really good information! I agree, we _can_ still save money, even now. Also helpful is to known which meals in your families rotation are the most affordable...on the tight weeks, cook those 🎉🎉
As a former extreme couponer I can't spend on full price. While how couponing has changed I still manage to make sure I get everything on sale. Right now target has a spend $50 get $15 gift card sale. So that's when I stock up on cleaning and household products. This sale usually comes back around right when my tissues finish. If you still struggle dollar general always has a sale on Saturdays to help cut the budget they always have coupons on the app.
That sweet heat snack mix looks like my cup of tea, yum! You are such a sweetheart wanting to help people with the pricing booklets! I love the vibe of your new kitchen!! So light and bright, it's a fantastic change!
Your new home is so nice. Congratulations! Yet in your new space I can see the APRONs 🙌I stopped using aprons when I moved to Massachusetts in my younger years. But, now I am retired and back into cooking, watching food videos and grocery hauls, I got me 3 aprons, intending to buy a few more. My budget is limited, therefore I shop for basics and bargains. Thank you very much for the food suggestions.
I eat mini eggs the same way!!!! They are my absolute favorite! Thanks for another great video! I love hearing all your tips and tricks. It's so helpful.
I just did an account of what I spent at the grocery store for two for one month. Hold o to your hats…….$1528.97. This madness is going to stop now. I’m only budgeting $500.00 and shopping here at home. We have food stored up and less we need fresh vegetables we are eating at home.
Thanks for your info. That’s what we need to do better. We do most of what you do but we just keep going to the store to buy more and not eat what we have, and that’s my fault. But I like the amount you spend, I’ll try for that goal. Thanks again.
@@JoLynnDrake-mc6bb, wow, that’s awesome. I’m going to retire this August so I can make more things from scratch. In the meantime I’ll stock up and collect recipes for making things from scratch. Thanks for helping me.
I'm shocked at the price of food in US , or maybe your in an expensive area , I really don't know anything about how your grocery stores pricing works. I spend €600 a month , that's far four adults and child , that's all in .. cleaning, laundry, pet food, toiletries and of course food. I have learned so much over the years from you and the only tips that I would give anyone starting off is have freezer space, it's nota deal if it ends up in the bin , and watch your channel
Also a side note, if anyone has lactose issues and wants lactose free 'real' sharp cheese. Cabot sharp cheese is sold at some of the Walmarts in the Salt Lake Valley in brick form. Real cheese yay!
Use coupons both physical and digital coupons even at places that accept competitors coupons and your savings cards. Sometimes you save so well you get items for free.
I agree we all need to be prepared. I just completed a pantry clean out so I am working on restocking. We get paid twice a month, my first goal is to have 2 weeks of food and household on hand for an emergency.
Hi Kimmy, so happy to see another vlog ,I need it as yesterday I had to put my little dogy down 😢😢I m heartbroken 💔 but your vlog makes me feel a bit better
I'm the same way when I overhear conversations in the grocery store! A couple of weeks ago, I was in Walmart looking for some large canned shrimp (I'm beginning to think they don't make them) and there was a couple standing there. They were discussing the price of the Bumblebee chicken and tuna salad lunch kits and how expensive they had gotten. Well, she was discussing. He was putting them in the cart LOL Apparently he "needed" them for a snack at work,😢 as they were "healthier than something from the vending machine." I had to do it. I excused myself for interrupting, and told them that Dollar Tree, which is just next door, had the exact same thing for $1.25 (around $1.80 at Walmart). Even though it the Brookside name it is made and manufactured by Bumblebee. She told him to put them back and that they were going to DT when they got through. They both thanked me. I hope DT had stocked their shelves 😂
WoW! Utah seems to have such cheaper prices and sales then in NC. NC is so expensive food wise and everything else. Love your new house! So happy and bright! How can it be March tomorrow?
January was super for my budget, but February was a total bust. I am going to try to repeat my no spend January and shop my freezer, and pantry. I had some unexpected expenses in February. Since recently retiring, I finally know what money will be coming into my budget. By the way, I love your videos. I do also have a food storage. Living in Ontario, Canada we don't have the same stores as you do. I do shop Costco and Walmart.
POOP! I was making a list and realized that I got some of that already and the sale is over. There's a couple things that the sale price is good until 03/03. I love your Shop-WIth-Me's
Kimmy, groceries aren't really a problem. Amazon is. That's sa really good price on blueberries. I try to get blueberries, i have frozen shoulder, and blueberries is an anti-inflammatory food. I love Knorr, I get it from Amazon.
I can feel you on the frozen shoulder!! Ugh! Physical therapy and chiropractor helped mine. And stay moving and use it. Stretch..lift weights to help. What is working for yours?
Hi! I really enjoy your videos. I've been excited to tell you I bought my first apron. i also wanted to ask if a Costco or Sam's Club membership would benefit a two person family? I've never shopped either before. Thank you. I can't wait for the next video.
4:00 Yes here in England, the packaging is different and there is a big gasp if you just chomp down on these!!😮...it's considered a waste and everyone l know gently cracks the shell and slowly let's the chocolate melt!!🥰🥰
We tried the chicken balls when we were visiting family in TN and oh mylanta!!! Those are AMAZING!!! Our Sams in Oklahoma didn't have any when we looked the last time we were there 😔
I have a question regarding Sam's Club & Costco. Both require a yearly membership; how does that affect the grocery hall price? I mean, do you get your money's worth from the annual membership? (sorry, that was an extra question). I enjoy how you shop and it blows my mind the energy you put in doing this which is inspiring and addictive. One thing I will say about being prepared or having at least a month's worth of food in your pantry. Un expected emergencies, events that will catch you out of the blue, that is also a reason to have at least a month's worth of food. Thanks for the video, I just love it all. *Hugs*
I have both and find different things at both. Sam’s mainly for business as they seem to have more things for that, such as cleaning supplies, janitorial, snacks for vending machines. Costco business has it but there is only one in DFW area and now where close to us. Costco has larger selection of healthier, organic things. Household goodies , such as plates, pots pans, differ between them. The membership pays us back in gas alone. I did price comparison last month between Walmart, Costco, Kroger, Aldi. We tend to go organic when possible. So compared organic flour to organic flour. Winner was Costco. Kroger was most expensive followed by Aldi. Sam’s didn’t have a lot of organic. Hope this helps.
@JoLynnDrake-mc6bb We try to grow most of our vegies. I enjoy canning, but I'm finding that having something ready from the freezer is pretty good too. We also have food allergies, so that can be expensive too. Where are you located? The price for onions and potatoes are pretty good. I'm in South Carolina. We live in the country and town is a good 40 minute drive one way. We also have to be aware of gasoline. Now, this grocery haul, was it from Costco? Is this for a month or every other week?
I think of the $60/year cosco membership as $5 per month. I can save at least that much per trip plus the cost of the gas for the 40 mile round trip. Just one large rotisserie chicken makes the trip worth the drive. I am very much a frugal pinch penny shopper. Not everything is a deal, so I scan the whole store, and use my phone's calculator to determine if the bulk price is actually a good deal.
I have had to switch to shopping the flyers and shop weekly. I hate it lol but we are saving money. But going weekly you can really see the prices increasing. I keep saying it has to get better right??? Also here in Ontario Canada we are no longer allowed to film in stores without asking for permission ahead of time and waiting for approval 🤦♀️
Very well said! I would also remind people to not overthink their meals. Some people think every meal needs to be 4 or 5 different things and a ton of work. Put some simple things in your weekly/monthly plan. You will thank yourself later:)
@shesinherapron I want to purchase your grocery tracker book. But I don’t want to pay the $5 to ship. I live in Utah. Do you sell your books at any local shops?
How do you freeze those bagels? Do you just leave them in the bags? They’re in and throw them in the freezer that’s what I do but I’m not sure if that’s the best option.
For my household there are 3 and a dog. We spend about 800 a mo. I'm trying to get it down to 500. I do a big bulk at Sam's for the Month and then fill in from aldi thru the month or thing we don't need in bulk❤
I am working on organizing my food (and non-food) storage. My main problem is space. I have found that decluttering is helping a lot. How does one person accumulate so much stuff over the years? I swear, I have found things I don't remember buying (and at 72 my memory is still pretty good ... I think!) 😁 I am also getting storage space for my medical/first aid supplies, toiletries/hygiene items and cleaning supplies. I know it will take time, but I hope you will let us know how the biotin works (or doesn't work) on your hair. I took it orally for almost 2 years ... different brand ... with no results.
We're reading Genesis in the women's ministry right now. Like two nights ago at like 5 am in the morning, the tornado sirens went off. My phone woke me up though. It's a Southern Thing did a skit where the weather person was telling the two Southerners to not go outside when they hear the sirens.
Another awesome video like always. Watch that Biotin my personal experience with it. It was wonderful and I used for yrs then I had a brain tumor on my pituitary gland and after surgery and treatment I continue to use Biotin to make my hair grow back and it was making my blood work level go all over the place. I stopped then levels went back to normal. Just something to share for you to watch. But it does work making hair and nails grow. Question could you do a video when you make that bread and tomatoes spread. Yummy. Much love from Texas ❤❤
I'm pretty good at remembering my prices and where to buy what from and I can look them up on my phone if not but I understand certain people are paper people so that book is great but I would love to see a book where you can put the inventory from your pantry in it that would be amazing for me I wished I'd skilled enough to create one of my own but that's not the Lord's blessing to me
Couple weeks ago I missed out on the oatmeal deal since February it know for breakfast food month. One reason why I didn’t get on the deal is because I’ve not been consuming oatmeal like I used to.
We are on a $25 a week budget and $150 & no more $200 stock up if needed a month. So far, I stuck to my guns. Today grocery haul cost me $20.35. Saved $32.03 at food lion. I had a $8 shop & earn form food lion and the $5 Dollar General Coupon. That food lion will accept. Following the same rules, It being Easter this month I'm going into Dollar General buying $4. of easter stuff to fix my Grandkids a basket each. The coupon on the end of the receipts. It like getting spend my $5 twice. I plan my menu for the week on what I have and what on sale.
Last year we spent $10,500 (Aussie) on groceries. Inflation really hit us hard. The sad the thing there was nothing to show for it. I tried to get the sales and stocked up, but with woolies and coles price gauging, the sale price were the original price. Ideally we were not saving a cent just spending more even though it was on “special” or clearance. I’m not spending that this year. Nope. I will be doing a huge stock up now we are March. (Australia, it’s Friday the 1st of March). Once my kids are off to school this morning and the baby is back to sleep, I’m revamping my menu and I’m going full force.
I noticed today actually, all of the fish at my local market was on “heck-a-sale” …. Then it dawned on me that lent began on feb 14th., now is the time to purchase fish. Whether salmon, tilapia, tuna, swordfish, scallops and mussels,… ALL seafood is on way good sale!!
I’m in NC. I think you are from here. Do you know where the best place is here for stocking? I don’t know of anywhere here that does the case sales. Also, could you please share how you are cooking the corned beef?
Just added a whole blueberries from augason farms to my pantry today Cook for two people myself and mom So I know my budget but I blew it bit this payday Thanks to building my pantry it's not that bad
How do you use the code for the sales that's on display for the sales? Do u have to have that stores app download on your phone or do u just take a picture with your phone? Just wondering never used.
@@SeriousBeagle thank you so very much. I do have to say that's kind of silly that you have to have a ap for just about every store that u go to in order to get the sales. By the way love your email name. I adopted 2 senior beagles. I take it that you love and have them for pet's as well.
@@natalieharrison4318 Yeah, it is silly. I remember when your loyalty card was enough to get the deep discount ::sigh:: Thank you! We do have and love beagles very much! We have had a total of four. Our first two are no longer with us but they lived to be 15 and 14. Our current two are 5 and 1 year on March 23. They (beagles) are the best dogs ever! Bless you for adopting the senior babies. I admire those of you who can do it. I just don’t have it in me because I’d be scared of being heartbroken constantly.
There are two main reasons I don’t buy most things in bulk. One is that I live alone, so most of the fresher items would go to waste (or I don’t have the room to store things). Second is that the nearest Sam’s Club or Costco is over an hour and a half drive away, so going to those places isn’t very convenient.
Do you have any tips if your on a very tight budget and only have literally $139.00 to spend on groceries for the entire month. That's all I ha e to spend on groceries for the entire month.
I'm wondering if anyone else takes issue with digital coupons? If I have a store membership card, why do I need to "clip" a digital coupons? What am I missing?
Kimmie since I started watching your videos I've built some food storage in my tiny NYC apartment. My husband loves barbeque sauce, so last summer when it was on sale I would always buy at least 2, He's on his last bottle. He keeps complaining when I do this stock up but then goes straight to the closet and gets what he wants when he wants it without a complaint or complement.
Thanks for teaching me how to start a pantry and how to keep track of prices. I have $161 food stamps for a month. I'm on a fixed income so knowing how to shop helps me stick to this budget.

I think!) 😁
I am also getting storage space for my medical/first aid supplies, toiletries/hygiene items and cleaning supplies.
Great info. I see your finger is ok now? I felt really sad for you, the njury during so many heavy moving days.❤
It is okay but hurts a little now
Hi, new subscriber. I enjoyed your vlog. Me and my best friend watched together. Those are great tips. We liked your haul
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm pretty good at remembering my prices and where to buy what from and I can look them up on my phone if not but I understand certain people are paper people so that book is great but I would love to see a book where you can put the inventory from your pantry in it that would be amazing for me I wished I'd skilled enough to create one of my own but that's not the Lord's blessing to me
I haven’t done any real grocery shopping with the exception of milk, cheese & coffee. I’ve been doing a kitchen clean out for the last 2 yrs.
I'm not a fan of red beets either, but I like the golden. They are much less earthy tasting. Baby beets are good in red or gold if you can find them.
Score!
I’m in NC. I think you are from here. Do you know where the best place is here for stocking? I don’t know of anywhere here that does the case sales. Also, could you please share how you are cooking the corned beef?
In this video my recipe is the last recipe. It’s so good! My kids love it. th-cam.com/video/go0AljGgdqc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=qeMgJ8PwHyKIP2m8
Just added a whole blueberries from augason farms to my pantry today

So I know my budget but I blew it bit this payday
Thanks to building my pantry it's not that bad
How do you use the code for the sales that's on display for the sales? Do u have to have that stores app download on your phone or do u just take a picture with your phone? Just wondering never used.
You clip the coupons within the app and you automatically get the digital coupon price.
I remember when your loyalty card was enough to get the deep discount ::sigh::
Thank you!
Smith aka.. kroger family has some good digital coupons.. when they got these coupons..better get them..❤
There are two main reasons I don’t buy most things in bulk. One is that I live alone, so most of the fresher items would go to waste (or I don’t have the room to store things). Second is that the nearest Sam’s Club or Costco is over an hour and a half drive away, so going to those places isn’t very convenient.
Your groceries are so cheap in the USA compared to Canadian prices. Yes i did the conversion. e.g. Cadbury mini eggs are 23.00 CAD/19.01 USA.
Chobani's zero sugar yogurt is at Sam's club in Murray. I like Sam's clubs better because it is also Lactose Free!!
I’m jealous! I just checked yesterday and my Sam’s does not have the zero sugar yet! I’m in Southwest Florida.
KIMMY 24 !!!!! NO WAY OH MY GOODNESS❤❤❤❤
Right!!!
I am confused about if I shop my shelves, I still have to go buy it again. Can you explain that more? Thanks.
Stock your shelves with on sale items. Use as needed, watch for the next sale to restock them. Goal is never pay full price
Food storage tour please!!!!!
Coming Next week
Golden beets are sweeter than red ones and they don’t taste like dirt .
Agreed. I really don’t like red beets, but golden ones are yummy. Be sure to use the greens too. Just sauté and serve
Do you have any tips if your on a very tight budget and only have literally $139.00 to spend on groceries for the entire month. That's all I ha e to spend on groceries for the entire month.
For how many people?
I came in under budget for the month of February
I eat my Cadbury mini Eggs exactly like you, Kimmie!! And everyone I know thinks I'm nuts. lol
Glad I’m not alone!
how do your freeze your breads and buns so they don't get freezer burn.
What planner are you using?

So sorry to bother I forgot what videos you have for the chicken apple sausage recipes what can I make with it
Did some shopping today. took a $58 bill and turned it into $37 by shopping the sales only.
Thats awesome!!!
Where did you get your grocery price book?
My shop 😉 shesinherapron.myshopify.com/collections/price-book
I'm wondering if anyone else takes issue with digital coupons? If I have a store membership card, why do I need to "clip" a digital coupons? What am I missing?
Kimmie since I started watching your videos I've built some food storage in my tiny NYC apartment. My husband loves barbeque sauce, so last summer when it was on sale I would always buy at least 2, He's on his last bottle. He keeps complaining when I do this stock up but then goes straight to the closet and gets what he wants when he wants it without a complaint or complement.
🤣
I believe the chicken sausage links are "Amy Lu (Louise)" - like a girl's/woman's name
Thanks!
