- Existential Matthew McConaughey is back to unravel the mystery of Barbenheimer. After all, he's worked with Nolan. He understands the infinite possibilities of time and space. He looks like a Ken. Who else is more qualified?

"...or is it Full Metal Balls?" I'm wrecked 🤣
Creepio's singularity engine draws ever closer...
Well, that definitely sucks
Full Metal Balls
You told me there's a bar here ....
I REQUIRE FLESHHHH
@@Ometecuhtli My bad
"I learned everything I know about science from Nolan".
That actually explains a lot.
Out of all the Barbenheimer viewing orders I've heard of, this is a new one
Just need some 3d glasses now. Do I swap the speakers so I have the opposite movie in each ear?
@@BandOfHarjaps . . . . but you already know the answer to that question. Ye . . no Y . . es.
Always release order... but wait, it's the same day... we gotta go deeper...
“The closest we ever came to something like this was the weekend ‘Space Balls’ and ‘Full Metal Jacket’ both came out. ‘Space Jacket’. Or is it ‘Full Metal Balls’? Doesn't matter.” 🤣
Hm, yes.
The soundtrack change on "I have to go interstellar" is fucking hilarious.
I need more Matthew McConaughey thinking about weird shit please. This is my new favorite thing.
deeep thoughts
It's comforting knowing that McConaughey is out there, tackling life's great mysteries and unveiling ones we didn't know existed.
I don't know about you but I take comfort in that. It's good knowin' he's out there. The dude from Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Takin' 'er easy for all us sinners.
It’s as if a fortune cookie came to life, then had a terrible head injury.
Matthew is just a Barbie girl in a vast Nolanverse.
"Come on Neutrons let's make explosions
Oh oh oh yeah".
Life in nonlinear time, fantastic it is.
Good job on getting Matthew McConaughey to appear on your channel
Ha ha ha
He must charge a lot more for dialogue than internal monologue though.
Good job for Matthew for getting on Auralnauts.
This will really make his career.
"Christmas Story" and "Amityville 3-D" came out on the same day in 1983. Saw them both the same night. They're forever fused in my mind -- "Amitymas 3-D -- The Ghost of Ralphie" He haunts my dreams in a pink bunny suit with black buttons instead of eyes. Shooting at my face with a Red Rider BB gun, he whispers "You'll put your eye out... You'll put your eye out..." (SHUDDER).
Now see? THAT I'd watch🤘
Ho, ho, hoaaaagggdhhhhhhhhh!
Not the philosopher we need, but the philosopher we deserve.
You either die a Camus, or live long enough, to become a Sartre.
if this is what we deserve then we're doing something right
So we'll watch them both at the same time . Because we know we can take it
lol

“Even though I already did it, I still gotta do it.”
My new motto in life.

It's a very applicable motto. Covers dishes, laundry, busy-work, homework, all manner of familial and other social obligations... on and on. *laughs... cries*
"A cacophony of pastel and destruction" is what I want on my tombstone now.
Gotta experience both movies first.... Before the other...For the first time..... At the same time! 🤣
Don't forget the day of The Mamma Knight: 7-18-08
The Dark Knight & Mamma Mia both released on the same day 15 years ago.
Why wasn't it The Dark Mamma?
“The Dark Mia”
_*Queue to Batman action scene with Mamma Mia soundtrack_
This is the barbenheimer snow level pre-retrospective we forgot we needed so we had to tattoo it on our bodies.
You have no idea how excited I was to get a sequel to some classic Auralnauts
I never noticed before that M.M. had such good posture. I always pictured him slouching, but he’s no slouch.
He seems to have kept himself pretty fit as well.
Absolutely phenomenal. If this video was 3 hours long I would watch it.
Imagine that
Maybe this video IS actually 3 hours long, but it warps time and space.
@@DoubleJesusChurch maybe it is infinity long but has tricked us into thinking it is both 3 hours long and 6 minutes long..
There's a crazy twist in this video: Your focus is on his thoughts, but if you look at the background, time is reversing and going forward immutably, proving that he's in one of Nolan's movies all along.
"... or will it?" had me on the floor!
Its back to the Tesseract.
Oppenheimer first. The detonating of the atomic bomb starts post modernism. So Barbie comes second, a film about a toy realizing her world isn’t real
you're onto it with this analysis.
I'd say Matthew McConaughey would give this a shot at recreating it just for the laughs, but the voice acting is so good we wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
I wonder if it was written by AI or just performed by AI? How much editing did the script require?
@@NicholasSouris Voice actor is listed in the description, and as far as I know Auralnauts writes their own stuff...
I'm not convinced voiceactorguy is real at all. Besides, even if he is, AI can do this just as good, so voice acting is going the way of the buggy whip
@@NicholasSouris It is deeply sad to see a scripted, voice-acted work made the same way as all comedy in all history, and try to peddle a bunch of doomed automation tools instead of admiring the expert craft on display. Humans wrote, performed and edited this.
@@apawhite you sound like my parents trying to convince me that it is a shame MSExcel will replace paper ledgers. Perhaps I just give up more easily than you do.
Auto subtitles gave this transcriptions for "Barbenheimer" pronounced by Matthew McConaughey:
- Marvin Heimer
- Bob and Heimer
- Barb and Heimer
I've just arrived home after watching Barbiheimer back to back double feature at the cinema. Absolutely glorious that the first youtube I see is this. Bravo.
This is amazingly mind-bending. Now I gotta go spend twelve hours trying to untangle this mess in my head!
full metal balls. haha.
Crap, now I need to see "Space Jacket"!!!

The Musical.
It's been a while since we last saw him... but McConaughey's got nothing but time.

"I need to travel at the speed of love." - McConaughey-not-McConaughey you sly dog, you.
Barbie runtime: 1:53:14
Oppenheimer runtime: 3:00:09
He'll have to splice The Red Badge of Courage to Barbie to reach Opp's runtime. It's going to be a rough mix, no matter what.
Or perhaps, because of some time dilation nuances, the two movies have the same run time in some specific relativistic frame of reference.
@@DoubleJesusChurch I'm no mathematician, but I imagine it could work out if you bring Oppenheimer on your spaceship traveling about 75% the speed of light, and traveling away from a giant movie-screen displaying Barbie. Ideally the Barbie-screen should scale (and bend) proportionally to the distance of your spaceship. The light from Barbie will sort of stretch out so that the playback rate decreases, making the total play-time match up with Oppenheimer. Barbie will look slightly dimmer than usual, but thats not the main issue. Due to the speed you travel the wavelenghts of light will also shift making the Barbie-pink look more red, and some of it might not be percievable by the human eye anymore. That could be fixed by filming with a camera able to record infra-red and digitally correcting the colors in real-time before playing back on a local screen on the space ship.
Or you could just use VLC and play back the film at about 0.75x speed.
Now if some mathematician could calculate how large the screen need to be at the end of the movie, to cover the same field of view throughout the movie...
@@motionblurgamer comment of the year
How about the 80 minute Disney animated Alice in Wonderland?
I like the idea of watching Barbie and Oppenheimer at the same time, like it's Wizard of Oz and Dark Side of the Moon.
Glad to see a return to this classic.
Full Metal Balls
You guys never cease to amaze people with your pure ingenuity. A Heavily philosophical video and yet entertaining at the same time.
Brilliant. This should win some kind of award.
Im gonna need a mug with the "Full Metal Balls" line in the merch store😂
You had me at Barbenheimer
Alright, alright, alriiiight... -Barbenheimer, 2023
"Resplendent plan" 😆
McConaughey car commercials. Truly the well which never runs dry.
How can something feel so silly and so profound at the same time
Barbenheimer is the greatest same-day dual blockbuster release since 1987's Full Metal Jacket and Spaceballs.
Yup. Full Metal Balls.
I’m still laughing each time you cut to his Lincoln! The dragging of time and dialog is brilliant. And that gosh darn Lincoln! 😆🫡
Isabella and Doom Guy proved it could work, but not really sure Barbie and Oppy would have quite the same dynamic.
I love the soundtrack. Is there a way to get just the audio track?
I suppose you could use an app to record it
@@OhhCharliee.. The trick is that I want the music without the talking. If it exists, I'd rather have a clean version of the track rather than the hash I'd make trying to edit out the voiceover.
@@kennetheaton1728did you ever find this music?
Auralnauts
always
deliver
With Hollywood on strike, I anticipate more amazing pieces of art like this from the brain trust at Auralnauts
My theory is that Barbie was released and being purposely pushed as the "palate cleanser" because Nolans film is going to hit us in the head and heart pretty strongly and they don't want us contemplating the utter power and corruption that we are all under the thumb of. A red-pill shot to be quickly followed by a blue-pill chaser to make it all seem like a dream.
So there is actually a red pill blue pill joke (amongst many great film references) in Barbie, and while it has a pink plastic aesthetic it's not a film that pulls punches. I found the double feature even more rewarding than I'd imagined, obviously the entertainment value was there but believe it or believe it both films had an extraordinary amount of self-reflection that sent quite literal chills around my body. They both have fabulous closing scenes/lines, naturally Barbie's leaves you on a major chord whereas Oppenheimer has a [deservedly] ominous tone.
Happy Barbenheimer! 🖤🤍
Well Happy Barbenheimer to you!
This is Nobel worthy.
It’s Noborthy!😂

Worbel, even.
I was not high enough to fully appreciate this. Time to travel to the 5th dimension through that black hole to do it over for the first time...
"Full metal balls" - I'm adding to this to my daily vernacular.
This captures both the essence of McConaughey, and the essence of Barbenheimer.
This makes me feel like things will be alright.
Alright.
Al..
Been with you guys since the beginning, so glad you're still making exceptional content!
So happy to see the return of this format
"Do I wear a VR headset with one film playing in each eye?" lolol

This is out of this world.

Thank you
Your writing is really something else. I am so glad you're not on strike.
Thank you for this!
This was just awesome
fine work. more matthew in future please
Or in the past...or simultaneously overlapping
This made me laugh 😂 great background music as always.
"I have to go Interstellar" - sudden Mass Effect bass drop in the background
After all these years with top-tier content it's puzzling how *Auralnauts* is still so criminally under-subscribed. Always high production value & always hilarious. I hope the algorithm gods smile upon them soon 🙂
a true masterpiece
This is beyond brilliant
Watching Barbenheimer at the same time is intriguing, but Oppenheimer is 1 hour longer, so the real question is: do you watch Oppenheimer at 1.5 speed or Barbie at 0.75?
A very FASCINATING contemplation on TWO VERY DIFFERENT movies... Neat!
Perfect use of the outstanding Lincoln ad. A+
Beautiful
I never understood ASMR until this moment. Need an entire channel of Matthew McConnaughey contemplating, please. I am sending this from inside the Tesseract.
It keeps getting funnier each time I watch it 😂
Bravo. Love you guys.
This is the most captivating thing you've ever made.
have you seen the original existential crisis one?
The fall of Synthwavatron brought me to tears
"a thousand little Matthews..." lol
Awesome!
This. Is. GENIUS.
Your impressions will always be better and more hilarious than the new age of AI garbage.
It might be filtered. Not that I'd know, but it might be.
Getting someones voice this accurately leads me to believe this is AI.
Haven't some of their recent videos been using this "AI garbage", though?
Seems like something Auralnauts would absolutely love experimenting with.
Chill out scaredy cat
well done sir. i loved it
Fundamentally the movies are the same - the creation of destruction of creation. Matt can't wrap his head around it because he's BETWIT the two, never created, never destroyed. And that's why the girls always stayed the same age.
I could listen to this all day.
A scene from Full Metal Balls:
[Dark Helmet flies into Spaceball One's bridge console after the emergency brake was used while the ship was at Ludicrous Speed]
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: "Lemme see your war face!"
[Dark Helmet stands up, dishevelled]
This was entrancing
This was great.
