G'day Corbin. I have two vandas......one not potted,other yes. Both are doing well so I do not see much difference in method used be beneficial or not. The larger one(bare-rooted) Pachara blue ,I soak every day in bucket for about half-hour....roots are very green afterwards. It is Winter here,so have cut back 20-20-20 +calmag to 1 quarter strength once every two weeks. So far so good ,and am expecting large one to bloom in Summer as it is in very high light and is large enough now. Small one has a long way to go. Thanks for your tips and support. Bye!

I think it all comes down to what works for each person I was unable to keep up with my plants watering needs being bare rooted and having to soak it every day so I applaud you for that! I've recently started growing them in vases which work really well, will post a video about it :)
Would you grow your Vanda potted or in a basket?
