That’s was really helpful. I often pot them up with to much soil
Thanks!
Checking out your vid because I just found one of these plants 🌱 at my local grocery store. I had never seen one before tfs - I think it was a good find for 15$
How frequently should I change the water? Thanks
What if i bought in november, that is dehusked and isn't srouted for amount of 2 weeks?
Only water ?
Yes :)
Excessive dramatic pauses and unclear speech. 👎🏽👎🏽
Thank you!
Thank you for this! I'm a newbie to gardening and plant maintenance. I tend to kill anything I touch so hopefully with your tips, my roses can thrive
Thank you, and such a pleasure :)
Great song choice! Beautiful plant!
I like your videos always short and informative ❤❤
I've been making a habit of buying "ugly" plants off the 50% off rack at my local nursery. I've had fantastic luck with rehabbing them. I'm here because my most recent purchase was a rhaphidophora, which I immediately cleaned up, just like this, because the roots were completely rotted.
Cool info bro. Thanks!
What líquid did you use?
The plant is going to self combust in the afternoon? How does it survive in wild, nature is so metal 🤘. Plant just randomly burst out in flames 🔥
Funny but no, the leaves will scorch in the sun.
Am going to make sure to do these thnkxxx
I can barely get my rabbit foot fern to survive...
Could you possibly make a video of like a 30 day care manual? like how often you water it, how much you water it, and the ideal conditions like humidity and what kind of soil? That would be much appreciated, tag me in the video if you ever make it.
Definitely :)
In indonesia.. its just a weed to feed a fish 😅
Bro talking in super slow motion.
I am a slow speaker.
I want to know where I can get those lights
This video was posted 7 months ago... how is the orchid doing?! ❤
Thanks for the information Corbin. I might try and grow a small cactus.
You should!
I just got one yesterday, I have always wanted one! Thank you for the advice!
Glad I could help!
The point of pulling out the lower leaves was? Did you thought it would balance the root pruning? In my mind the leaves of Vandaceous types have also a retention function as they don't have pseudobulbs and they will sacrifice themselves on their own as needed by the plant.
Thank you for your comment, No I didn't I thought that it made the plant look more neat.
Just bought one three days ago. I've got her in a tote with a cup holder humidifier and a 2 hour grow light directly above. But wait, there's more, flanking her on both sides are 2 more grow lights for my other plants😂 They stay on for 12 hrs as the sun doesn't like my room all too much. Wish me luck 👍
Sounds great!
How often do you water it after transfer? I’m sure there an adjustment period from water to soil?
When the soil is on the dry side, I would be careful of overwatering. Corbin
@@PlantBasics so the transfer won’t shock and kill it?

Thank you for this info. I went to Walmart today and saw a dying ZZ for 20$...I wasn't going to pay 20 for a dying plant....but she still had two healthy leaves left.....so I took them. :| I'm not a usual plant thief, I swear. I just felt so bad for the ZZ. She hadn't been watered in God knows how long and the soil was covered in gnats trying to find even a tiny amount of moisture. So I'm going to try and save her. 😅
Sounds like such a nice project! 😊 Keep me updated!
thanks for another upload 😎
Such a pleasure :)
It's very underestimated for the full impact it can have once mature.
Exactly!
Useless
Ok, thank you for your comment. Corbin
What Potting Mix do you use?
Something very well draining.
What Fertilizer and Potting Mix do you use?
Kelp, and a high quality mix that is very well draining.
Very nice! Your sock worked great! I see your African Grey in the background. ❤🐦 I have one as well, named Katie.
Thank you:) so cool that we’re both African Grey parents!
It looks great Corbin. I like cactus; however, I have killed so many over the years I just have not tried growing them anymore.
Thank you :) I hope Ive inspired you to try again!
@@PlantBasics Maybe a tiny one LOL. I think my problem with cactus and orchids is overwatering them.
Would they like a grow light?
Yes, I think so!
This is your first vanilla isn't it?
@@davewilson4957 second first was a variegated one!
Ooo ur lucky
@@Shrekplays2728 thank you ☺️
Oops
Where do you get the seeds?
@@cherriceann11 these were the seeds from my own trees :)
What kind of water did you say you’re giving your fern everyday?
@@cherriceann11 just a little bit every day. I usually empty my water glass from the previous night into the fern in the morning 🌅
I’d love to grow a kumquat tree In my house!! That’s beautiful!!
@@cherriceann11 you must! It just needs direct sunlight 😊
Yours is gorgeous 😍 I have a Dallas fern and it’s not doing well.. I’m in Utah and my humidity is too low.. maybe it needs to be in my bathroom or near a diffuser for several hours a day.. 🤔
@@cherriceann11 I agree perhaps more humidity is the key 😊
how do you know if yoru soil is good draining soil?
@@jacksimpson2222 if it has lots of bark and perlite in it :)
Aww so happy to see your content again!! Love this!
@@PullUrfingeroffmyas thank you :)
How often do you water it?
@@tyragarrett8506 depends on the season, but once a week is a good starting point :)
He has the worst voice ever
Should we change the water weekly or monthly?
Hello! I would say weekly to be safe! Corbin
Thank you! Going to do this right now!
Such a pleasure
What organic fertilizers do you recommend?
Kelp, fish emulsion, and worm castings!
