    I have a Ragley Big Al and it's the best bike I've ridden, including some full suspension ones.
    But it's been such an eye opener, enabling me to start riding steeper and more techy trails that my skills have developed in that sense, and now I want something even more extreme: the Titanium brother to the Hello Dave: The Wrekker.
    One day it shall me mine 😎

    I’ve got an XL Hello Dave, its a BIG and heavy bike but it climbs very well. I can’t explain how but it cleans most steep hills in my area. Oh and downhill, jumping and through chunk, fantastic and composed. It’s also very comfortable. I run 2.6 Minnions and have 3/4 inch clearance through the stays. Amazing machine.

    I like that the UK manufacturer's go with external cable routing. I got a Trek Rosco 9 a couple months ago, the internal routing improves the looks a bit but I would rather have the easier access for service/upgrades.

    There is one more potential con with Ragley frames, and that is if you get metallic paint then the paint is really week and chips off alarmingly easily. Awesome bikes though, I wouldn't change my Marley for anything.

    Good To see my hardtail here! I'm really proud! But some info was incorrect. For the Nukeproof Scout Comp 275 you have to pay only 18xxEUR on Bikester. The tires: Front MMary, back Hans Dampf. The machine came with full SRAM DB8 brake system( 4pistons, Front 203, back180mm rotors), Not full shimano Deore! only the chain and the derailleur was Deore, the crankarm Raceface, and the cassette SunRace.
    In terms of money, I wasn't a scam. But the idea was full deore, because of the easier upgrade. Now I need to buy a complete crankarm to be able to mount it on a 36T. I see, the final solution will be the SLX Crankarm XT 36T Chainblade SLX chain, SLX derailleur, and XT shift lever. Later an SLX cassette.

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately, most bike brands reserve the right to change components on the bike depending on supply. It sounds like you got it for a good price.
      You can save some money by keeping the Raceface cranks and just buy a 36t Raceface chainring.

      Yea so far it’s been awesome , a bit differnt riding style is needed . I feel like I have to ride the front end a little more/ ride the fork to get the most of it. And for those that haven’t used the DB8 brakes, they might be favorite brakes so far. I have an older set of guide rs brakes and shimano 6100 2 pistons on another bike. Hopefully they hold up reliability wise. Also it came with a 200mm front rotor and two extra Sram 180mm rotors in the box . Not sure why but hey I’ll take it .

The Ragley Marley really turns my crank. Vitus looks amazing as well. It's definitely due for a refresh. Still a great bike in it current form. Proper reach is important though. Big difference between 446 and 457. Some of that can be fixed with stem length but you can only take that so far.

    • @gregwatts1159
      @gregwatts1159 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After considering all the bikes in this video, I went with a 27.5 Sentier due to availability and value for money and my preference for the smaller wheels. I was a bit concerned about this short reach comment I see a lot of, but I just don't find it a problem. I also ride a Rocky Mountain Altitude and my previous bike was a Mondraker, well known for being long. I suspect the geo will get updated, but I'm riding steep technical terrain in the alps and not lacking any confidence on the bike. It's not an enduro slayer like the slacker bikes, but for me is proving more versatile. It's fun on XC and tight singletrack, where a Commencal Meta HT I rode just felt dead. But that bike was a faster descending sled. If I hadn't got this I would have gone with a Scout or Marley, and I'm sure I would have loved those too.

      I just bought a Scout for myself. I think it's a great bike. Its a very versatile bike.
      You may already know this, but I would suggest setting up the fork with a thinner oil for the extreme cold. Another option is to change to a coil spring fork.
      I hear Sibiria is beautiful. I've always wanted to visit.

    one one hello dave or Marin El Roy iam 184cm tall 6ft

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tough call. Both meant for extreme gnarly terrain. The Marin has shorter chainstays and will be easier to manuever. The Hello dave is slacker and the long chainstay requires a little more muscle to move it around. Depends on your riding style.

    What if the price difference between the MMMBOP 1.0 and 2.0 was only $300?

    • @AdrenalineIsLife
      @AdrenalineIsLife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That makes the 1.0 more appealing. You'll have a wider gear range, and the Yari with 35mm stanchions is a stiffer platform.

    Mbop is named after a trail in the UK not the boy band.

      They are distributed through Wiggle and Chain Reaction Cycles but there is also a dealer locator on their website

    What you're saying isn't true mud doesn't do any more damage to a hard tail than it does to a full suspension

      Ok. I'm embarrassed to say that I've never heard of Pace but I just looked up their bikes. 😯 Wow! Thank you for sharing.

      Yeah, Pace, Stanton, Pipedream Cotic, Stiff - the UK really does have a gnarly list of superb hard tail manufacturers.
