While on set of the New Edition mini-series a few of the actors and artists got into a heated debate over whether or not if the R&B group Jodeci was Iconic.
Jodeci is iconic AND legendary. They gave us some of the BEST baby makers of the 90's and i've gone to two of their shows and the ladies STILL go wild. Yvette you and your opinion have been cancelled.

First of all - they are all sitting their with smart phones and not one of them thought to google search the definition of the words. Iconic and Legendary are similar - based on the words icon and legend. Nicole got them backwards though. I would say Kim Kardashian is iconic (she is definitely a reality star ICON) but she is not a legend by any means. Ricky bell said it best - Jodeci has a place in the history of black music that they have etched out, but they will not be remembered in history of music the same way a New Edition, a TLC, a Babyface or a Michael Jackson would - because I don't think they ever truly had a crossover appeal. His music has spanned over 4 generations (Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Post Millenials listen to his music). Plus he is well known all over the world, and has been for many years. Jodeci is iconic. They are known for 90s hip-hop RB. When people think of 90s hip-hop RB music Jodeci is one of the many music artist that come to mind. Plus, I'm not sure that they are well known all over the world.

Boys 2 men were done by the 3rd album. Jodeci had swag,appeal, musicianship,vocals,everything you can want in a group. They weren’t the typical 4 man vocal group they switched it up and changed the game. Tell me what singers or groups now that sample new edition ? Jodeci got rappers singing and singers rapping. Kci and JoJo held them lead vocals down and arrangements,Dalvin and Devante had the production,lyrics,instruments,composing and background vocals down packed smh.
